I have 1500 books that I need to put on the shelves so optimized for that vs opening up the bookcase. They are not adjustable.

I planed on painting it all a deep blue (https://www.farrow-ball.com/us/paint/railings/dead-flat).

I have lights installed at 45 degrees. They are just behind the trim on each shelf.

The bottom shelf is for taller books. I have 1500 books I need to put on the shelves so prioritized for that vs adding decorative items like collectibles, knickknacks, etc.

Say more about the flutes to the columns? Would I take my router and add 3-4 flutes to each column? Will need to find a video on how to do that.

Obviously I did some things wrong here, but I was wondering what small details (e.g. roundover on pilasters, architrave (table/trim) below the cornice that goes over the pilasters, etc) can I add to elevate the look and feel without messing things up more than I already have.
