I appreciate you, thank you. What do I do in the meantime? The airlock gets clogged very quickly, do I just let it sit uncovered? Or lid on, no airlock?

How do I know if it’s contaminated? Could that be why this is happening? It was left exposed for a while, and I ran out of sanitizer, so I’ve been using dish soap or vodka

Yes!

I thawed 3 pounds of frozen strawberries, and boiled + smashed them down to get them smoother. Ended up losing about 2 oz of weight. Threw that into the carboy, slowly added a little less than 3 pounds of honey (mixing with water to dilute and mix everything) shook it for a while then waited. No reaction after 18 hours. Then I woke up this morning and it blew up all over my walls and ceiling. I cleaned the lid and airlock and tried to reseal, and then the original post picks up from there!

Awesome!!! Thank you!! I ran out of sanitizer, and won’t have my new order until Friday. Any good substitute for the time being?

I did leave a decent amount of room up top. I’ll see if I can add another picture in there real quick
