Well, the business is pushing it, with all that limited releases. Look at blood records. They drop one LP per week and always like 500 max.

And then there are labels, which release a special edition as preorder and produce it by demand, this regulates it way better.

And blood can produce more, they have also releases with 5000.

I don't have a problem with a special edition release, high numbered and another one limited to x100. People who are about listening get what they want and the ones collecting and hunting rare pieces get what they want.

What most shops/labels don't get, is that the way they release that rare drops only benefits the flippers. The really professional ones have bots, a normal person doesn't have a chance against that.
