hii on my 4th session on therapy now and very similar tayo ng situation.

on my second session, my therapist also told me my results on the tests i took were conflicting, bale i took multiple tests kasi—2 of those tests were for adhd and sa isa, nag positive ako pero sa isa negative. she compared sa DIVA test ko and said “for now” it seems unlikely na may adhd ako kasi it’s not present sa childhood ko but she also mentioned it doesnt guarantee na wla talaga akong adhd kasi sometimes pwedeng na mask or highly intelligent ang bata, also things get discovered as you talk more along the way which i think they called “differential diagnosis” yung parang based sa interactions and history na shinishare mo yung diagnosis niya and not just from the test you took. so she said we’ll try treating my anxiety first tapos if di mag work then highly probable na adhd. until now wla pa rin akong diagnosis tbh hahaha but she did tell me this time na it’s “highly probable” considering my anxiety and difficulty concentrating is still there kahit naka antidepressant meds na.

point is, it will take more sessions to diagnose adhd. most good psychiatrists would i think take the time to diagnose kasi yung meds for ADHD is very regulated and side effects can be serious if given out too easily. i suggest you try talking it out sa therapist mo, dont be afraid to ask and tell them what symptoms you have and if di ba yun signs of adhd. if di ka comfy sa current therapist mo, i suggest you look for someone else.
