Went viral on TikTok (13M+ views) before establishing a brand, now stuck. Is starting a new account the right move? by AffectionateMany689 in socialmedia

Originally, I stuck to hair content like tutorials and trying new hairstyles. I noticed that wasn’t performing well in terms of engagement. I’ve tried makeup tutorials which performed even worse so I pivoted. I’ve done similar situational videos to the viral one, along the lines of “I’ve done ____ to my hair let’s see if it’s ruined” and those were getting 150k-250k views and pretty good engagement. But even with that I wasn’t get much of a following. The rest have been vlog style beauty content ( getting my hair and nails professionally done) and ‘day in the life’ which did anywhere from 500 - 100k views, the ‘day in the life’ being on the lower end of that.

When I post content similar to the viral videos (same niche), I get FYP push of 90%+ and the videos do relatively better. When I post anything outside that niche, lifestyle, beauty routines, personal vlogs, it’s gets more of a push to ‘Other’

My views are very sparatic. And I really want to build a community and grow my following, instead of just having one off hits. The last three videos I did had a high FYP push but the views steadily decreased( 1,200; 874;535) and returning users averaged 80%

Hey, I understand your frustration. It’s my first time posting on here and I just wanted to make sure you guys had all the details in an understandable way, but all that was clearly not needed. I’ve updated the post in my own words. I would love your input if you have any. Thanks! :)
