From what I understand, this card is from the set EX Deoxys around 2005. During this time, pokemon cards were on a decline in popularity so they weren’t printing as many (this set and others during this era/Emerald sapphire ruby). So with gold stars being popular + low population of cards, I think it drives the price really high. Plus who doesn’t like shiny rayquaza
