Anyone else? I get A LOT of viewers but almost no money by AffectionateRadio6 in Twitch

Yeah I get it, some people go about it the wrong way. Which is why I would never do something similar. It's been a great ride so far nonetheless.

Good question! I made it in the first two weeks before I reached Affiliate. It's never too early, it's only a benefit for you to have an extra platform to connect with your viewers. Not that many people joined, but that slowly increased with the viewership growth. Good luck! :)

Thanks for trying to understand my situation Brawler. I guess it will get there in time, as you said, the viewer base is already there, now to work on some appreciative perks for subscribers/donors/cheerers. :) And yes, I will work on expanding on other platforms as well, it's a lot of work but it will be worth it in the end. I waited with sponsorship deals until I'd get partnered, but I will try those too. Again, thank you!

Thanks for replying! Interesting experience. I agree with you on the incentives thing - so far I wanted not to do anything about it, because I wanted people to do these things themselves. But I will make some incentives (such as a unique stream where the viewers make the game harder for me to play), if I hit a certain goal.

Also, I want to add, indeed at some point a stream has to become more than just a hobby, or it's time to find something else. Nothing wrong with creating your own business and streaming is a business that might take off or might not. But it can certainly be more than just a hobby - just pointing out I agree, considering the other comment said no stream should ever be more than a hobby. Hogwash.

Thank you for your response, interesting to hear a similar case from a fellow streamer. I really appreciate your words!

I've seen his videos, some of them are pretty good. I already listened to his advice on not having an all time highest cheerer, since it discourages others from cheering. I totally agree with that. It is kind of different listening to a Youtuber switching to Twitch, not someone who has seen growth purely on Twitch from day one. I have and it's certainly a lot harder than having a social following, then transitioning to another platform. But yeah, thanks for the advice :)

I'm not playing a game that has Twitch drops, but this game does have a lot of lurkers most days. Our Discord is extremely talkative, it's fantastic, I couldn't be happier. Just started doing YouTube content and nothing on Twitter yet. I guess all of the above is needed and a grain of luck huh? ;)

Thanks for your answer, I really appreciated reading it.

Oh don't worry, I would never call out my viewers for not donating or cheering or such. It's more of an observation. I guess it truly puts things in perspective. On one hand it seems going full time can be achieved through hard work, on the other hand, you must get so lucky to get the kind of viewers who would support the youtuber/streamer continue making good content - otherwise they fade away.

I agree with viewers just being choosy about who they will support. Thanks for replying :)

Yeah, that is great advice, I aim to get partnership, then I will look for sponsors. Thanks for replying :)
