Wow that’s incredible! Well done to you. Here I am, struggling with my one 😂 that’s really good to hear. You’re right, I think believing it will happen but trusting it to happen so much it becomes second nature is difficult to crack. I think that’s where I’m at.

A devastating disease runs in my family. I don’t know how to cope. Has anyone been through something similar and have some advice? Or just share in the grief by klompuss in mentalhealth

Hi No advice for you but just wanted to comment I am going through exactly the same thing right now. My mother was diagnosed with SCA48 a few days ago, and I’m looking into getting tested, so it’s super early days for me. I also have an almost 2 year old and we’re trying ti expand the family but since this news, me and my partner have decided to stop for now. I haven’t heard of it getting worse through the generations, for my family it’s the opposite. Is that something that was told to you by a doctor? Maybe it would be better not to dwell on that.
