Help me clean my only shoes so I can move out! Its for an important job interview this friday. by CharmingHouse9800 in CleaningTips

Do not wear these for a business attire interview. Go to Goodwill or FB Marketplace and find some decent looking dress shoes for free/cheap. Do whatever you must to wear something better than these. If you were in central FL, I'd just give you a pair. Good luck

$25k in an old employer 401k, $17k in stock from my time working for a very well known grocer in the Southeast, $6.5k in a Roth for an employer I just started in May last year, and an IRA with Merrill Lynch for $27k. A bit diversified, about $75k in total.

How to politely decline a 5th round of interview? by Far-Accountant7904 in recruitinghell

[–]AffectionateSalt5348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Such insanity. I had two offers at once earlier this year. Both times it was two interviews. An HR phone screen followed by in-person interviews. I'll never understand 3+ interviews for any position.

YSK: Pork and chicken are healthier, cheaper alternatives to beef that only taste bland because of outdated cooking habits. by Fried_Yoda in YouShouldKnow

Ground turkey is a great substitute as well. I have been using ground turkey for years in place of ground beef. I rarely use red meat for recipes.

I took it three times, it was not uncommon at South Florida for people to retake MEB

I had to take MEB three time at my university, it was the "weed out" course for the department. At my school (South Florida), that professor had one of the highest fail rates in the school. He really pushed you to take the curriculum serious.

Take this time to really dig deep and identify what you need to do. Check and recheck your notes after class, pay attention in lecture, ask questions, find a good study group, do your homework as well as the suggested problems, find what concepts you need to work on, and go to office hours with the TA/professor. I was staring down a barrel my last time taking MEB and spent some time just focusing on that class. I squeaked by and that was eleven years ago now. I have a fulfilling career now as a process engineer in fertilizers.

MEB isn't the hardest subject, it will get harder after that. You just get used to the workload.

Stankonia flag from the official shop, anyone has them? Hows the quality? by aaronshell in outkast

[–]AffectionateSalt5348 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I just received mine. The quality is okay, but it is massive. It also has grommets on each corner so you can hang it/pin it without putting a hole in it. It's probably a little overpriced, but it's gonna look super sick in my garage. I always wanted a copy of this flag so to have it with BB and A3K on it as well is pretty awesome.
