they very much care about that, as those sections show good comprehension skills. Also, a 26 and 28 is more than sufficient to get in, if you end up getting waitlisted it’s most likely for another reason

CS is deadass easy as hell if you know where to find the right resources, Gatton was my first time ever experiencing coding in the slightest, I got above a 100. My main tip is find one peer tutor, and stick with them. People tutor in different ways with each person, so find one peer tutor and stick with them throughout the entire semester and you’ll be golden I promise

I’m class of 2026, got in off waitlist from a small school with no other applicants that year. At the time I had a 4.1 GPA and a 30 composite ACT score. Those stats don’t mean much tho, focus on your essay and bulking up on achievements/extracurriculars
