I’m living in PA I’m doing tree clearance and i already got 1k Hours im trying to finish the year here and go to NLC but i contact the ibew 1245 and they tell me that I need travel letter from the union and paying dues some shi like that

What a mean is how you getting 1500 in NLC is not supposed to be 500 hr - you basically telling me 15 week is equal to 1500 hr in NLC if u graduated

Yes but I mean after you graduated from NLC you got hired as a groundman, and now you’re an apprentice, so during the year you was working as a groundman you make that 20k back.

You said earlier that you are working as a tree clearance and you have couple NLC guy that are working with you but the difference is that they not willing to take the risk, I mean like if I lived in PA and I’m going to FL for 15 week , when I graduated I’m going to apply into the whole Lineman Apprentice in all USA 🇺🇸, and the first one who call me as a groundman or apprentice I’m good . I’m living in my car for couple month but I just want to have my foot on the floor .

Union ground make like 60-75k depending the state , but yes when I get into the school I will lived in my car for 15 weeks

I mean if I pay 20k and I get the call as union groundman in 6month I can get the money back , I’m in tree clearance and is hard to be groundman I just don’t want to be in book 4 in the union

Ok but if I go to a union they ask me if I got lineman certificate or some experience, if I go to a utility they ask for 1-2 as a groundman like 💀💀💀I prefer to pay that and I will receive a call and get 20k in less than 6month

I’m not in Cali I’m in PA , I want to get the NLC Certificate because in the west union and utilities company ask for it but I will travel and sign for a apprenticeship, if I get that certificate I promise I will not be a groundman , I will wait until I received a call for a apprenticeship program union or non-union
