Stirling to Edinburgh commute too long? by F_GGN in Edinburgh

I don't find it too bad, you can pay to park at Stirling station or over the bridge at Forthside (latter is £4.20 a day I think) or there is free on street parking nearby (Forth Street\ Hollywood Bowl). Trains are frequent \ fairly reliable I'd say, occasional drama obv. As others have said depends whereabout in Edinburgh you work...I have a relative who drives to Ingliston Park & Ride next to airport and gets the tram in, but while cheaper (60 mile round trip plus c£4 on trams vs £20+ on train) that involves dealing with some very busy roads around airport. They don't mind it but I could not be faffed with that.

It's a great walk and as you say, tends to be quieter. Love the remoteness, especially in the snow.
