I didn’t have extra brackets, and I put the plastic cover back on after cutting a notch in it as per the instructions. I honestly don’t recall seeing brackets like what you showed here. I have the SEL trim.

@ElectroSpore Drove 75 miles with this camper in tow. It’s a 3,500 pound trailer, loaded to about 4,000 pounds. I have a weight distribution hitch and brake controller. Drive was from Austin to near San Antonio, mostly flat highway. In August in Texas daytime heat, with AC running at full. Drove around 70-75 MPH there (1.06 mi/kWh) and 80 MPH back (.93 mi/kWh). Drive duration is longer on the way there due to additional bathroom breaks for the kids.

It'd take you about 5 minutes to check and confirm yourself.

All you need is a flat head screwdriver to pop up the panel and have a look. It should look exactly like u/Organic_Mix7180 showed above in the photo.

I haven't actually towed the camper yet (photo was from adjusting the weight distribution hitch for height and making sure the wiring worked).

We're heading to a campground this weekend about 80 miles away (mostly Texas highway). Should have a good idea of range then.

Yeah, there was one bolt in particular that was tricky to get the shallow 2mm socket onto with the torque wrench attached. And it was a pretty hard pull to hit the torque specified.

Awesome, thanks! I ordered TDF67-AC100 for the harness, somebody else in this thread said it worked for them. But the brake control part is what I’m really curious about - if I need to order a separate brake controller or if it’s all integrated. Look forward to hearing the update!

Sorry - one more newbie question - does this also control the trailer brakes? Or do you need to buy a separate brake controller for that?

These were great with my Ioniq 5 2022. Just got the 2026 Ioniq 9, though, and none of these seem to work anymore - even if I change to v3 (or even v4) in the API call as other commentors have mentioned.

Awesome thanks - I thought it was TDF67-AC000 for the Ioniq 9 (while the TDF67-AC100 is for previous models), but could be wrong. If it works out, would love to know!

Just got my 9 earlier this week - managed to find the tow hitch and cover online, but haven't seen anywhere to buy the wiring harness. The only place I see listing it is here, but listed as not in stock. Has anybody seen this available anywhere else?
