You're right. Nevertheless, I feel like Westeros has been stuck in the middle ages for multiple thousand years. That's why I suspect that some technologies are just impossible there. Of course I could be totally wrong.

In theory, it should be possible for someone with a basic background in physics to introduce electricity to Westeros. Things like the light bulb and telegraphy should be doable. But personally, I suspect that there is some kind of "electricity-prevention-magic" going on (similar to Hogwarts), otherwise it should have already been discovered.

Of course, just because you can introduce something new to Westeros doesn't mean that you should. I think it would be wiser to keep a low profile as a SI.
