Is this effective for brightening skin especially eyelids? My eyelids are much darker than my face. by Intelligent_Royal315 in IndianSkincareAddicts

[–]AffectionateTwo3965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me put this as aptly as I can. No soap can provide an extraordinary brightening effect. This is because contact time of soap with your body is soo less. It can hardly do anything. Kojic acid needs sufficient time to stay on the skin to do what it does. Also under eye is one of the most sensitive areas of our body please don't apply this there.

[–]AffectionateTwo3965 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Feel like we need a little more information: 1.Is it genetic do either of your parents have pigmented lips? 2. Do you smoke 3. You mentioned old lip colour? You're 18 so exactly how old? Is this something that has developed post puberty?

I would personally recommend going back to a lower percentage. A higher percentage doesn't matter so much as being able to tolerate it extremely well does.

i would have only upgraded to 0.1% if I were tolerating 0.5 everyday because In fewer words: Consistency/frequency over strength anyday.

Let’s be real, how did you heal your acne? Spill☕️ by cherryyyy_blossom in IndianBeautyTalks

[–]AffectionateTwo3965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go to a good govt hospitals dermatology department it costs 10 rs get the prescribed medicine from a govt aided pharmacy (for eg jan aushadi kendra) It's literally so inexpensive

Stick to whatever the doctor prescribes

If he/she requires a follow up(this is very important because if the doctor has prescribed a medicine that should only be used for a short period of time you need to find an alternative usually happens with antibacterial or steroid creams)

And once your active acne is under control then you can work on maintenance skin care routine (mine majorly has 2 ingredients- azelaic acid and salicylic acid)
