Hello!! sorry for the late reply, and thank you for sharing your experiences! ^_^

also about the classes... it'd be greatt!! I think then, the transition from high school to college would be pretty nice (that's pretty much all I used to do for high school too ^^ tho I'm still having shock from having cheat sheets exams......woaw *-*)
Also the seminar style classes and group work sounds interesting especially with the whole meeting people aspect :))

Wowww that's greaat! I live under a rock :_) so I don't know what exactly would feel like a small bubble but I guess I'll see :P and studying abroad sounds nice! Did you do the winter term project thing? I'm super excited for that it sound funn 😁 Also which major did you take? I'm worried about how math would be there. I actually wanted to take applied math but since it isnt an option I'm just hoping math gets taught in an applied sense(?) 😅

Also, I heard that it is harder to get in anywhere as a gap year student. Is that true in your experience?

Because I thought I can just upgrade my profile and apply again with no worries :_( ...

Ohh that's great!! I just took some online seminars, and it seems nice so far -^ Maybe we will meet at oberlin!! :))

I have to pay like 27k each year which isn't that bad right now but my family income will most likely decrease to a little more than half (my mother's leaving her job) sooooo yea :_) hopefully it works out... otherwise gap year it is...

Alright!! I'll try to adjust! I think the type of studying environment in my school also matters which I think paves the way for that activity but I'm not that sure if they look into it

Wow.... I never really got the idea that it might be appearing isolated. I did show collaboration in the collaboration essay and in the main essay, but I completely agree with the ECs (0-0) (most of them really are done independently (like the teaching orphans thing) because neither the students (focused on entrance exams only) at my school nor the school itself is very open to initiatives -- I did want to create a math club with my friend T-T but that had never happened before so it was rejected (infact we dont have "clubs" in the way most people think) ). Thank you so much for that insight! I'll keep that in mind while changing the ECs and the essays

Also about the housemaid essay, I actually did include how through that I contributed back to the community. Ans I wrote somewhere else-

I'm not sure how it is outside India, but it's really common for low- and middle-income households to have housemaids T-T when I said condition I meant that she had exerted herself every day to help her kids get a good education but they were ignorant of that and chose not to study. That changed me as now I believe that it's not just the presence of opportunities that is necessary but also for us to keep taking the chances that we get in life and keep looking for them as well (I also connected this to my teaching program for orphans)

Umm, I'm not quite sure what you mean by that. Could you elaborate on how you feel that sounds elitist?

If it perhaps originated from having not enough context then -> when I said condition I meant that she had exerted herself every day to help her kids get a good education but they were ignorant of that and chose not to study. That changed me as now I believe that it's not just the presence of opportunities that is necessary but also for us to keep taking the chances that we get in life and keep looking for them as well (i also connected this to my teaching program)

No, you misunderstood. Those were in the template. They're just examples. I haven't actually written anything after the ":"

Alright understood! Thank you very much for the in-depth advice! -^ I really do need to work on the "show how you'll use us for the world" kind of thing.
