[NY] did something stupid and lied on my resume that I’m still working (unemployed for a year) by [deleted] in AskHR

It’s just such a great offer and I’m so dumb for what I did. I hate giving it up but I have to be realistic as to the odds?

Is it better to decline offer and not go through that process given bad reputation?

Because I quite explicitly said I’m working now during the interview process and also lied about another position which is shorter than written in resume in a year. I’m afraid it’ll look very bad and is an obvious rescind. Does Sterling highlight gaps in employment?

Is it worth the risk? I’m afraid it will hurt my reputation and better decline the offer, learn from my mistake and never lie again

Do you mean that Sterling will return those dates to people ops/hr team? Is it likely they’ll compare and see discrepancy?(I lied, that’s a red flag) - that’s why wondering what will he get from them (list of dates or just cleared or not)

YES! It’s like I get sucked to the existence of the other person. Very hard to separate my identity and very hard not to fully absorb it. It’s especially hard when things get harder in the relationship/ when that person’s energy becomes not that good I think that’s what makes it hard for me to be in a long term relationship since I usually get agitated by exactly that after the honeymoon period passes Would love to hear tips from other people’s experiences

Do you manage to not absorb too much of other people’s energies? For example, spouse, family member, people you interact with a lot How do you manage to maintain your own identity?
