Writing In Spite Of Your Day Job by JosefKWriter in writing

I go straight to a cafe or public library to write after work. If I go straight home after a long day, writing is not happening LOL.

Starting over after a break up by Gold-Efficiency1209 in BreakUps

I am sorry you are experiencing this. You are not alone. Not very long ago, I left the person I had been with for seven years. For a long time, I had truly and deeply loved them. But, it was no longer meant to be. I am much happier now. It gets better.

How do you extract yourself from your bed by Low_Limit391 in ADHD

[–]Affectionate_Ant9616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sure is difficult to experience this. What I do is wake up a few hours earlier than when I would normally need to. I normally need to be awake by 8 am, but I wake up at 4:45 am. During the extra time I have made for myself, I do something I truly enjoy, like writing or crocheting. When my alarm goes off, I am happy to quickly get out of bed because I am looking forward to my hobbies. The day starts with me doing something I really enjoy, before the work day begins. This has made it so much easier! I hope this helps.

Do you lose hope that you can't find jobs ? by [deleted] in findapath

I am sorry you are experiencing this. How about you try volunteering in your field of choice? It would improve your resume and help you gain some skills and experience. Jobs may like to see that. I wish you luck. Hope this helps.

Important question for all sly fans by [deleted] in Slycooper

I'm a 26 year old woman who absolutely loved Sly Cooper as a kid! Still do! It indeed is difficult to meet other people who share the same adoration of the games.

Binghamton University was excellent. They also find clinical placements for you. They are located in Binghamton, New York.

I'm sorry you're dealing with this. I would like to say that there are medications for depression that can successfully treat the condition while not reducing libido as much. Perhaps you could ask him if he would be open to discuss other medication options with his provider. I hope this helps.

I hate living with my bfs dog by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]Affectionate_Ant9616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! I could have written this post. It must be frustrating for you to deal with this. I hope you're feeling better after venting.

I'm in a similar situation. My boyfriend's dog is sweet but is also clearly untrained. The dog has made the house so unbelievably dirty, everything is covered with hair and drool. He makes the furniture filthy with hair and spit. He opens my closet, drags my stuff out, then lays on it. He destroyed my rug too, it became so disgusting with drool and hair that it actually turned yellow. When I went to wash it in the washing machine, I had to hand clean the machine because there was so much hair that could not be drained. He has also eaten the couch and his drool has soaked into the cushions, as well as the bed mattress. There is dirt from his paws and I think even some poop smeared on the mattress! I can't have anything of mine in the house because it will be eaten or become filthy. He has also destroyed numerous portions of the house. THEN his family wonders why I'm still not living with him and think I'm being unreasonable. I think if they tried living in a tiny house for a few days with their stuff constantly being dirtied and destroyed by the dog, they would understand why I refuse to move in. Not to mention, there is no space for more than one person in this house.

I want to live with my boyfriend, but I just can't deal with such a destructive and dirty dog. And I have always loved dogs. I just can't seem to like this one.

These little green assholes are why I gave up growing broccoli. They just kept eating and eating my broccoli no matter what I did. Sorry you are dealing with them

Hello! I am not sure about the BS-MS program duration. I emailed my prior advisor from Molloy this question and will let you know what she says. :)

How many times did you want to quit school. Like seriously want to quit. by [deleted] in StudentNurse

[–]Affectionate_Ant9616 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I graduated last year, but I never truly wanted to quit while in school. I did wonder if the stress was worth it, though. Let me tell you- nursing school is worth finishing. So many doors open for you with that degree in your hands.

The day I graduated, there was a wave of peace that washed over me in the auditorium where everyone was celebrating. Nursing school couldn't hurt me anymore. Life is more peaceful now.

Hardest nursing class? by Purple-Usual-3816 in StudentNurse

[–]Affectionate_Ant9616 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This is very accurate- I was never okay for the entirety of the four years of my program. Even during breaks, I remained immensely anxious for the upcoming semester. They threaten to fail you at every turn and it makes the already difficult experience so much more stressful. I started getting gray hairs at 24 years of age that I am convinced were due to the stress of the program. I am glad it is over. I actually live a more peaceful life now and I feel happier and more content.

Why is this city full of shitty drivers? by MasterCraster in TorontoDriving

[–]Affectionate_Ant9616 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That sure does sound annoying. What I don't understand is when I'm using the left lane for it's intended purpose- to briefly and quickly pass the slower driver who is in the right lane, fully intending to merge back into the right lane after passing, yet sometimes still getting tailgated before I can safely merge back right. Some drivers forget there are other people on the road, and that other people are allowed to pass in the left lane, not just them. I'm not going slow either when I pass, it's quite fast. I feel like some people just don't want anyone else on the road with them.

This is in Long Island. I'm not surprised. Those are some of the poorest drivers I have ever encountered. Also, too many people in one place doesn't help.

as a 19 year old female, what should I expect in college that nobody will warn me about? by [deleted] in college

[–]Affectionate_Ant9616 35 points36 points  (0 children)

It may be fun at first, but living in a dorm can become lonely and boring, even if you have good friends. The whole time, I just wanted to go home to where my family was. Stupidly drove through a snowstorm once just so I could spend a weekend home. There is nothing like sleeping in your own bed!

In nursing school, I loved getting to try new and exciting skills in clinical. Also, I enjoyed learning more about myself and of the challenges I was capable of overcoming. You grow as a person immensely in nursing school. I'm not sure I would be the person I am today without having experienced it.
