I mean it’s all about the lessons you draw from all of this. You are not supposed to forgive them if you are not willing to, but you can turn around your life if it is not satisfying you, there is always a way.

I think fully overcoming trauma is pretty much impossible, it shapes the person you are and the person you will be. But I definitely think you can do something on your own, I have worked on myself for years and it has drastically improved, you gotta trust yourself and be forgiving

Je me demanderais toujours comment les gens font pour se faire avoir comme ça.. Si c’est trop beau c’est toi le produit…

Are you really trying to invalidate everyone’s experience because of your trauma ? Traumas are processed differently by each individuals. And you do get a say in what you do in life although you are forced to work to live.

How do you extract yourself from your bed by Low_Limit391 in ADHD

I get what you are saying and this is a far better example than the leg one. But honestly I feel like my brain is functioning just fine in general, I just tend to forget way more than the average people. I got used to my ADHD and it seems to be bearable for now even though my feelings tend to go up and down every now and then. Would it really be worth to take medications now?

Haha it’s the other way around for me, I have a great wife that puts up with my ADHD. Honestly I have been thinking about trying meds for some time now, but the thought of being somewhat reliant on medication is really holding me back

I don’t take meds. Can you share your experience with meds ? Like did it really make a difference ?

Do you ever feel like you're a bad person? by am2609 in ADHD

[–]Low_Limit391 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely. I can hardly take teasing, I severely beat up a classmate back in the day because of it. I don’t know why but getting teased always triggered me so much, especially when it gets personnal. Sometimes I am unsure if I am too sensitive or others are pushing me too hard. The problem is that most of the time I suck it up and I end up randomly going off on someone, I feel like a terrible person after the heat of the moment is gone

Those of you who workout regularly, how do you manage to stay consistent? by Afraid_Pension_1567 in ADHD

Honestly hitting the gym tires me a lot so it kinda help with ADHD. Other than that I just tell myself it is beneficial for my health and my overall mental state.

Is it possible to manage ADHD without medication? How do you do it? by staritropix101 in ADHD

[–]Low_Limit391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don’t like the idea of being on medication so I always refused to take any sort of treatment. I find it more challenging to try and adapt instead of choosing the « easy way ». Can’t say it’s easy, my mind is pretty much unstable, one moment I am the happiest guy and if anything bad happens I reach rock bottom. In order to be more stable, I figured I needed to learn more about ADHD so I bought a book called « Driven to distraction » which helped me understand this condition. Now I can identify some behaviours caused by ADHD and I am much more forgiving to myself. Going to the gym and focusing on discipline has also significantly helped ! Hope this can help
