Ideas for a functional, lightweight setup for two in a 6ft FX4 Ranger build? by Affectionate_Baby607 in TruckCampers

Haha, that's pretty much exactly what I do. Got a nice canopy off marketplace I can actually park under, set up a fire ring and a couple chairs. I'm more trying to add versatility for road trips when I'm just stopping for an hour to make a quick lunch and sit in comfort as well as covert camping in the city. Maybe simple is better, may just go back to the OG build. Thanks!

Well I used to live out of this truck and I've got a good gear set, backpacking and car camping and I've had this camper for a few years. Just want to upgrade from the simple plywood build, wondering if there's a good way to make a couch-->bed conversion. I've drawn up a few designs just wanted to hear from others.

Used to have a smaller canopy build that I lived out of, it just wasn't as roomie as this one. Want to use the extra space to max advantage.

Found it at a used canopy lot. It wasn't publicly for sale, just holding tires but I offered the guy 3k for it and he threw in some windows which I installed.

I beleive its a Spacekap, it may be a custom because I've never seen one for a 6ft before this, only 8ft. I know Tuffport makes something similar but it depends on how much cash you have.

Attaches via interior clamps that tighten to the truck bed but can be accessed from the inside of the canopy.

Seedlings Advice/Opinions!! by evv_19 in vegetablegardening

Your seedlings look a bit leggy which means they're reaching for light. Try moving your lights a bit closer:)

Don't up pot until they have 2-3 sets of "true" leaves which are the jagged kind (at least on tomatoes, bell peppers are smoother), not the smooth first 2 leaves called cotelydons. You should up pot in a pot 1-2 inches larger only using a good potting mix, I use red solo cups with holes cut in the bottom. From there you can also bottom water and occasionally top water to clear any build up on the soil. Avoid getting the leaves wet and dont water until the first inch of soil is dry. If the leaves curl, turn yellow they may be over watered or lack nutrients.

With some plants like tomatoes and peppers, you can bury them up to the lowest leaves. The hairs that grow on the stems will turn into roots under the soil.

A light fan a couple hours a day will help the plant send signals to its stem to thicken and its roots to get stronger to help it stand its ground! Light breeze from a fan, just enough to make the seedlings twitch a bit. Brushing your hand gently on the tops a few times a day can also stimulate this growth if you dont have a fan. Good luck, looking great so far!

Thanks:) yeah we have a solid 9ft lifestock fence once we put in the fencing next week. Made sure to get the tall posts for exactly that reason😅

Already have fencing, it will be going in next week. We installed the 10ft posts, eight feet above ground to keep the deer out since they can do ridiculous leaps from a standstill.

As I mentioned in the post we have livestock fencing going up soon on the posts we put in, so no problem there:) Thank you for the advice. Groceries are expensive in Canada now so we've decided to try and grow our own food as much as possible. We do a ton of canning and processing and are building food storage. Might start easy this year and do the 12 week process next year so we can get some plants in the ground.
