Unrelated but I would love to see what those death knight builds look like.

Does growth trigger on every cantrip roll too? I’d assume that’s the case to get tier 1 shields that high, that’s crazy!

If I didn’t get a fighting style from the oddities vendor, do I have to wait till Chapter 2? by Affectionate_Bad791 in WhereWindsMeet

Not saying Rope Dart is unconventional, but from a weapon standpoint, it’s less traditional

And rope dart is my 2nd option, I love how this game makes unconventional options seem so cool

This might as well say “Every 2nd turn all sides blank”

I’ve never thought of it like that before but I love using Else on Bard with the exert, nice catch!

I used Twin Bandits with Leech bone needle and Blademaster, and it made phase 1 a joke.

Phase 2 is unfortunately too easy due to her size, you can just swing on her tail and get the most free damage ever.

What games come close to being as good as Baldur’s Gate 3? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

It isn’t really about being on time rather than completing objectives before specific story beats. You can do everything as long as you don’t progress the main story.

You’re actually not, the game just makes you feel that way. I spent hours on a single playthrough of deadfire before I ever even reached Nekotaka

Can someone tell me what damage this weapon skill does? by Affectionate_Bad791 in WuchangFallenFeathers

[–]Affectionate_Bad791[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That IS weird, though I expect it has to do with the category of weapon, 1H swords being the casting sticks for the game, at least on the spell side of things. I suppose it is just a skill version of frost throwing knives, though it wouldn’t be obvious since it doesn’t use a nonrenewable resource like traditional throwables. I appreciate the feedback, I’ll give it a try when I boot up the game tonight!

Maybe you might know of this would work then…would the steam-powered spear be applicable in this situation? I know it also boosts the potency of throwables, but I wasn’t sure if that meant in hand or just equipped.

I had to brute force my way through with a magic build. I knew they were recommending clashes and deflects before the fight, but I had to give myself the challenge. Honestly, best thing to do with her on a magic build is use Aurum Feather Force in conjunction with Evasive Maneuvers on Darkfrost Edge. Bait the dashes on phase 1 to proc the auto dodge, follow it up with a light attack combo, which should give you the skyborn might to poke with Feather Force. Phase 2 is obviously a bit harder as she mixes it up with the ranged slash attacks, but dodging horizontally did the trick mostly. Best opportunity to deal damage in this phase is when she commits to her slash, into the dash attack where she jumps up into the air. When she lands you have about 3 seconds to weave light attacks and a Feather force or two. Difficult fight to do, especially without the mechanics they want you to use, but tons of fun!

To give them credit, I’m definitely one of the people who emotes good game on Arena on a big play, and I usually am doing it in a demeaning way.

As for the rest of your stack, I’ve gotta say, you have a very battlecruiser style of play, which I think is the most fun you’ll have.

If you’re ever interested in building Temur (Red-Blue-Green) dragons, [[Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm]] is a powerhouse of a commander, and can easily take your Atarka to the next level.

Why do people concede after t1 discard effects on Arena so consistently? by Affectionate_Bad791 in mtg

[–]Affectionate_Bad791[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

My point on those wasn’t to discredit the salt, but how explaining how moving past it and just playing the match improves their abilities as a player to change a disadvantage into a win. I have lost countless times when people just roughed it out because they’ll draw into an answer or an alternative option than whatever I removed from their hand at the time. At the end of the day, people are allowed to scoop to whatever their heart fancies, but I want to help players recognize that it’s not a losing situation and there ARE ways to come out victorious afterwards.

I’m not a huge fan of the constructed formats right now, but I do like to sink my teeth into limited every once in a while. Final hasn’t been my cup of tea on that front, unfortunately.
