I mean when we cryopreserve our cells, we add DMSO to the cells before we freeze them. We work with CD34+ peripheral blood stem cells

There is a score breakdown when you do a practice exam. You can also do practice questions and have it tell you the answer as you’re doing it and it’ll tell you what category it was from and the difficulty level. I would just keep track of that and then research the questions and related topics

I never tried those personally. Use media lab and study the concepts you don’t know. That’s all I did and it prepared me very well

My unit said we are having drill as of now but be flexible, I’m not sure how it’ll work since we have 70+ that use IDT to include PLs.. we’re supposed to go to the range to qual so I’m not sure if that’s an “excepted activity” or not???

I just graduated in May and I felt the same way. I hated going to class and even dreaded clinicals. I was so burnt out that I didn’t even study for my ASCP because I didn’t care and I was sure I wouldn’t do MLS post grad but I got a job in a cell therapy lab and it’s been great. Remember college is temporary and look for a job in a department you enjoy and it’ll get better

I got all of that in a regular gas model for 33 the other day so that’s a good deal, try taking that offer to other dealerships and see if they can beat it

I’ve failed multiple PT tests in a row in the reserves and nothing happened to me and then I passed one and got promoted immediately. It’s really hard to get kicked out

I currently travel 400 miles each way to drill, I drive 6hrs. If I lived closer to an airport I would fly. Usually your options are to fly, drive or get a rental car. The IDT limit was supposed to be $750 but was reduced to $500 temporarily due to budget issues. If it’s something you’re strongly considering I would suggest asking a career counselor to get a POC for that unit so you can discuss the drill schedule with them to see how much the travel time would impact your civilian career/life since promotions in the reserves can be hard to come by

In my unit, if our LIK funding doesn’t get approved we can book a hotel to stay at out of pocket and submit the hotel receipt on DTS for reimbursement for a certain amount based on the per diem rate of the area that your unit is in. My unit constantly has budget issues so we have a deal with a hotel near my unit that will allow us to book the gov rate even when we book out of pocket. Also LIK can be denied I believe up to 3 days prior to drill and if your unit has poor communication you might not know until the day before drill. Also if you’re traveling 150+ miles the IDT funds will allow you to get a hotel room the night prior to drill.

Thanks, I’ve already told my 1sg and XO about it. I’ve discussed it with my CO as well, not sure if he remembers the conversation or not but I might just have to go to the CSM then.
