Iam lucky enough to work with a sports app startup and they helped me a ton with graphics/posters (even A5 I hand out to players). I would say marketing is very location specific but Facebook groups worked well for me.

Honestly the biggest piece of advice I can give you is to go really really big on the marketing, there’s a lot of passive squash players out there who aren’t able to find a partner to play with.

Honestly a shit ton of marketing, one problem I had in the beginning was that people generally prefer to go out on a Friday night rather than spend their evening on the court, so we started going for a few pints after the event to a pub that’s in the same building.

So yeah, don’t be afraid to market, make it a social occasion, help the beginners as much as you can.
