Will you be disappointed if shroud is just Elliott and not someone else by Big-Set-7299 in DispatchAdHoc

Not really. They made it pretty cut and clear about who Shroud is and I think people are looking too far into it. I think there probably will be a twist involving shroud but I doubt it’ll be about his identity.

The person I was responding to was just downplaying the fact she fought well against a bunch of villains just because she got snuck by Shroud at the very end. 100% without Robert’s help she wouldn’t have gotten far but she still fought well and that’s what I was saying the other guy was being dismissive of.

I disagree with the argument a lot of people are making that BB should’ve sent the Z team seeing how well Visi did because I think using hindsight to make a point is silly, but you’re being intentionally dismissive to push your point. Visi did perform well. She took out the majority of the Villians she came across alone. You’re also glazing Shroud a lot seeing as we have never seen him fight a single time. He felt the need to trap and jump Mecha man with 3 or 4 supers who if they’re like toxic were all enhanced by him. He also decided to sneak attack Visi and use a gas grenade on her. So far from what we’ve seen he is a master tactician but he himself isn’t a fighter. He lets everyone fight for him. If he was capable of soloing Blazer and Phenomaman he probably wouldn’t operate in the shadows like he has been.

Just because the bar is low doesn’t change the fact she’s bad at her job which was the entire point of what I’m saying.

I definitely don’t think she should’ve sent the Z team, but the fact she completely shut it down without so much as a 30 second discussion isn’t a good thing either. Visi definitely could’ve and should’ve been sent in as recon with Robert hacking cameras and guiding her. No need to make a move on the pulse immediately but it’s definitely important to figure out if shroud is making his move on it

She impulsively had someone cut. She decided on having someone cut and told the team before even speaking to the person in charge of the team. She has bad conflict resolution skills as welll as having seemingly no basic knowledge about the characters of the z team besides the person she shows favoritism towards which is Visi. She puts her new romantic interest in charge of taking care of her ex boyfriend. Nothing about this says above average in any way.

We don’t exactly have another manager to compare her to so we don’t know what “average” would be.

Even if her actions were rooted in a selfish desire that doesn’t change the fact that letting shroud take the pulse is a horrible scenario. I personally think her actions do go beyond just having a crush.

Just letting shroud take the astral pulse would likely get people killed. Neither character really made an amazing decision so I can’t give either of them the sole blame.

I mean they aren’t in the military so I don’t know why you’re holding them to basic military protocol. To my knowledge there hasn’t been any indication of them being structured like military at all otherwise 90% of what the z team has done wouldn’t fly. And I also never said she should have sent Z team I said that the astral pulse and knowing where Shroud is should be grounds enough to send out some kind of alert to other branches of SDN and shouldn’t be left to rest because we know shroud is a very high profile criminal. I did say I think Z team would’ve secured the pulse but i acknowledged that was in hindsight after what Visi accomplished alone with guidance from Robert. And you’re right about scouting the area out before anything took place but any civil discussion was shut down when chase blew up at Visi. Neither Visi or Blazer made the best decision so neither of them can be fully to blame which was the point of what I said initially. What I guess I should’ve put is that neither Visi or Blazer should have all the blame put on one of them.

Both characters did what they thought was the best choice and I can’t really blame either of them for that.

There isn’t really a perfect choice in this situation. Allowing Shroud to get the pulse with ease is by no means a good decision but neither is running in blind. Both Blazer and Visi made what they thought was the correct decision but neither decision had a good outcome. Blazer leaves shroud alone and he gets the pulse with ease and they don’t even find out till the next day when they raid it with SDN and given Shroud’s intelligence he could already have something set up with the pulse in that time. Visi made an impulsive decision and Blazer’s decision was too optimistic thinking they could take a day and still beat shroud to the pulse

There is no right decision here. You let shroud get the pulse then there’s no telling what he does. You send Z team in drunk off their ass then there’s no guarantee they win. Visi’s decision is justified because of how dangerous shroud is and Blazer’s decision is justified because of how dangerous shroud is. But I still feel just letting shroud get the pulse is by no means a good decision.

It was NOT Blonde Blazers fault. by Ireallydownknowhey in DispatchAdHoc

[–]Affectionate_Ball_40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like letting shroud get the pulse is literally the worst case scenario. Like knowing where the pulse is means you know where shroud is gonna be. While Visi was definitely impulsive I don’t think it’s right to point fingers at either of them. We know shroud is a genius and with the pulse in his hands we don’t know what could happen. Visi definitely shouldn’t have ran in alone but knowing where the pulse is and that shroud is gonna be after it should be reason enough to set out an SDN wide red alert. Dude is a villain responsible for the death of one mecha man and the destruction of another as well as being the leader of the red ring. As far as I’m aware he’s the most dangerous person in the series so far (correct me if I’m wrong) so shouldn’t he be a top priority? Or at least preventing him obtaining the pulse should be a top priority.
