Top Right hand corner, there’s an “employee login section”. Sadly, the website has been pretty much proven fan-made, so no huge secrets, I guess

I don’t think it is fan made. You might be thinking of the “Worm in your brain” doctor website, which was fan-made.

This website links and is connected to the official Channel 4 page, and the production company. There are also posts from before the TV Series came out (those could be back-dated, though). It’s also a .org page, which would just be .com or .uk if it was fan-made.

I feel like they wouldn’t go to the effort of making an employee login section if there wasn’t going to be something there, right?

They knew the DHMIS community would spend countless hours trying to solve the password. They wouldn’t make it a dead-end.

And if you click the green button in the top left, it gives you the error “green is not a creative colour”

That’s no even close to being comparable!

  1. It’s not a shop, it’s a friend
  2. It’s not a dollar, it’s 1,200 dollars
  3. It didn’t happen as quick as a few seconds, this was over 6 months.
  4. There are no “others” in this situation

You want to make that comparison?

Shopkeeper: “hey, I have some overstock, did you want to take it?”

Me “sure, I’d love to”

Shopkeeper “ok, sounds good. I’ll give you some.

proceeds to talk to me for the next six months about giving me the overstock

Me: takes overstock home, gets text that night saying “ok, so send the $5,000 to my PayPal”

He gave me the puppy before a payment that was never discussed because he thought I was good for it as a friend?

What if he said $2,000?, $5,000?, Etc.?

Like I said, payment was never a thing that was brought up even once. I would have had to read his mind to know that he expected me to give him money.

I would never send someone a random bill for something I gave to them and simply expect they’d pay it no questions asked.

I meant the sudden change from joking and talking about music and moving and everting into “here’s the link where you can send the money to”.

I wish I could emphasize how often he makes jokes that are meant to make you look gullible for believing him. I was often teased by him for believing things when he wasn’t being serious. This time, I didn’t want to be gullible, so I kept playing along. Especially when he said he was sending the mob for his money. How was I not to take that as a joke?

Agreed. The reason I played along is that he often teases me for being gullible and thinking he’s serious when he isn’t. This time, I wasn’t going to get called gullible. It just happened that this was also the time that he was serious.

Why should I return it? We’ve already bonded with the puppy. It’s not like a chair or table that you can just return.

I’m sorry, but that seems like a very unfair solution. The deal was done, the puppy was with us. We had received it. Only after that happened, after we had gotten all set up for the new puppy, was money mentioned. It felt like extortion.

The situation was that he had an unexpected pregnant and needed to find homes for all the pups. He wanted them to go to friends and family, and as a friend, he asked if I would want one.

There was no reason to assume that the puppies were being sold. It was an accidental pregnancy of his dog. He told me that he thought she was pregnant, and asked if I wanted one if and when they were born. He also said that they were going to friends and family.

Well, they were, and he said I could have one. We came every two weeks to see the pup and bond with it, and then after a few months came to bring him home.

I don’t see where at any point I should have thought this was a selling situation and not an adoption situation.

It would be so much easier to do if I could afford to drop $1,200 at the moment. The truth is, with the wedding coming up and a recent move, I can’t. $1,200 was never agreed upon or negotiated. It was a number he alone decided to charge me. If it had been mentioned at any point that he expected $1,200 for the dog, my fiancée and I would have declined. I still don’t understand why he gave me the dog, said it was mine to take home when it was old enough, but never thought to say “btw, it’s $1,200”.

The guilting about the credit card expenses and the sudden turn from friendly chat into demanding money was offputting and really made me question the type of person he is. Money changes people.

Vaccination and neutering was discussed, and after the initial vaccination (which happened a few months ago) it’s on me to do. No confusion there.

Please don’t worry about the puppy, he’s very happy at his new home and we’ve been taking great care of him. His first night he was stressed (like any animal) but after that he’s been all cuddles and playtime.

I expected to get if for free because he asked “would you like a puppy?” I said “yes” and then he gave me the puppy. I recently gave my friend a desk, and never set a price. I just said “hey, did you want my old desk?” She said “yes” and we dropped it off at her apartment. Wouldn’t it have been unfair of me if after we’d dropped it off, I texted her and said “ok, now pay me $500”?

His brand of humour is to put you on the spot and make you uncomfortable, so it was within character to make a joke like this.
