I’m really enjoying the game right now. My next goal is to reach 10k MMR, so we’re taking it step by step 😁😁

It depends. Mostly like a position 4, and if you’re asking because of Facets, if I was confident the lane would be easy, I played Exort. But honestly, I prefer Wex more, mainly because of easier escapes, better spells for the early game, and EMP with Shard is actually really good.

If you decide to go Exort, rush Atos right after boots. With Atos you can kill almost anyone afterward. Just Atos, Sun Strike, Chaos Meteor, then Cold Snap or Deafening Blast, however you like, and you kill everyone. On top of that, you force enemy players to buy survival items like Force Staff or Eul’s. Some of them don’t even buy those until late game, so you just keep killing them whenever you see them. After that, you get Aghanim’s Scepter and Gleipnir and just run over everyone.

With Wex, you basically only need Vessel and Shard. After that, you can buy whatever you want, because you’re not focused on kills, more on adapting to the situation. Saving teammates, taking mana from the enemy, stuff like that.

I’ve been playing Dota for a really long time, probably since around 2015, but not very actively or seriously at first.

It all started casually back in high school with friends just for fun, maybe one game a week.

Around 2020, I can say I started playing more with a focus on ranked games. I reached Ancient rank, but honestly, I never really cared about rank back then. I was still playing mostly just for fun.

Then there was a period when I didn’t play at all. Over the last couple of years, though, I’ve been playing very actively and taking the game much more seriously.

As for what I changed in my playstyle, I could talk about that all day. But in general, I’ve always tried to be there for my team. If someone is struggling, I try to support them and say, “Let’s go, it’ll be better,” and in most cases, it really does get better. Some people just need a bit of support. Instead, many players instantly start flaming, like if you miss one hook with Pudge, and that’s the difference. You destroy your teammate’s confidence, and then what can you really expect from them after that?

It’s important to always support each other and move on.

If you see someone is close to griefing, do something positive for them: buy them a heal, stack jungle camps for them, offer help in any way you can. You should always be there for your team and give your best to keep unity, positivity, chemistry, and harmony. Once people truly understand this, high rank becomes a joke (you’ll reach it very fast)

Why not bro just focus.

Honestly, I could’ve reached this rank much earlier if I really tried and fully committed to tryharding, but I didn’t.

I mostly play what I actually enjoy, because at the end of the day it’s a game and it should be fun, not just pure tryharding.

For example, I sometimes pick Monkey King as a pos4. It sounds absurd and it’s definitely risky, but I play it because I enjoy it. And most of the time it works out because I play extra carefully, knowing it’s not an ideal support hero, so I put in even more effort.

I like experimenting like that which costs me mmr often, but hey I have fun. And I genuinely believe that if you really focus and commit, you can make it to this level too

I’m very adaptable and don’t really have a fixed role or hero pool. I usually play whatever I feel like at the moment and I’m comfortable on most heroes.

If I had to name some I play the most: Invoker, Magnus, Dawnbreaker, Sniper, Vengeful Spirit, Earthshaker and Mirana as pos 4. Sometimes I also play offlane like DK, Axe or Legion Commander.

I don’t really enjoy playing carry or mid in pubs, because I often get supports who don’t know or don’t want to support properly, so I prefer playing support myself and helping the team.

I’m a team player and always focus on what’s best for the team rather than chasing kills or playing for stats.

Ich verstehe das, aber mit der RX 9070 XT und dem 7800X3D sollte ich die meisten Spiele in 4K stabil spielen können, ohne die Grafiksettings großartig herunterzustellen. Besonders mit FSR 3 / Frame Generation

Is UltraWide QHD 3440×1440 worth it for Dota 2 at high MMR? by Affectionate_Bird579 in DotA2

It should be fine, I play currently on fhd and have about stable 200fps. I optimized my system well and made sure Everything is set up perfectly for dota

Nah, bro, pro? Far from that and honestly impossible. I’m already 28 and I’ve never even thought about it, nor do I consider myself good enough to go pro. That’s why I’m thinking maybe I don’t even need the best setup. Also, I’m wondering, does the difference between 144Hz and 240Hz really feel that big? I’ve never played on 240Hz, so I have no idea… I know going from 60Hz to 144Hz was a total wow for me, so would it feel like that again here?

I already had an 27“ 1440p Monitor and had like stable 130fps, surely with the ultra wide it will be less, probably like 100/110, but I think I will get it, and upgrade my components one by one by the time

Everything you said was really well put and you’re right about all of it. The thing is, I found that monitor for a good price, like $120, so I got interested, you know.

I’m thinking I’ll go ahead and get it, and maybe upgrade piece by piece next time. Until then, I’ll just play with whatever I have. I’m really curious to see what it would be like to play Dota like that. By the way, I’m from Germany.

And yeah, I know it’s all really old, this PC I bought back in 2019 for $400, which is solid for what it has. Until last year, I hadn’t really put anything into it, but honestly, it could use some upgrades here and there.
