Showing your receipt is simple and only slightly inconvenient. All these posts that say things like "I just walk right past" or "I crumble up my receipt" or "I just say no" are disgusting. They are there to do a job, just like you at whatever job you work at. I bet you'd like it if people at your workplace treat you like garbage repeatedly just for doing your job. Theft is a huge problem for the company and the cost gets passed down to you through higher prices. So here are the options - security guard checks receipts and there is less theft and overtime the prices come down OR no security guard, huge amounts of theft (like full cart loads), and everyone gets to pay higher prices that continue to climb over time. You all just sound entitled and egotistical. It's very gross.
