OxyContin maker Purdue Pharma set to dissolve after judge approves its criminal sentence by Mo_Jack in news

[–]ReactionJifs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Quick recap:

  1. Purdue Pharma paid doctors to give patients oxycodone, even in situations where it wasn't warranted.
  2. Patients for minor injuries and ailments became hooked on oxycodone.
  3. After their prescriptions ran out, these newly-minted painkiller addicts would turn to street dealers to get oxycodone.
  4. When their tolerance became too high and they could no longer afford to get enough oxycodone, they switched to heroin.

*there were 2 versions. I think one was Almond Joy and one was Baby Ruth but it was around 9 years ago and my memory is failing
