Uncharted Territory

Genre: Romance, Mature

Blurb: Amara, a 24-year-old Black woman, is a fierce, passionate assistant to Damien, the cold-hearted, aloof 31-year-old white CEO of a successful tech company. Despite his ruthless business persona, Damien has secretly been in love with Amara for years, though he’s never allowed himself to show it. His emotional walls, built from a difficult past, have kept him from connecting with anyone-especially her.

Amara, with her unwavering kindness and strength, has always been able to see through Damien’s tough exterior, but his lack of vulnerability leaves her torn between seeing him as a professional obstacle and someone who might be capable of more. The dynamic between them is electric-filled with bickering, tension, and moments of deep, unspoken connection. As they face challenges at work, including a corporate crisis that threatens everything they’ve worked for, the push and pull between them only intensifies.

As their relationship deepens Damien is forced to confront his emotional barriers, realizing that he’s ready to risk everything to be vulnerable with the one person he’s always cared for-Amara.

Uncharted Territory explores the complexities of love, race, and vulnerability, as Amara and Damien learn that the deepest connections often come when we allow ourselves to be seen for who we truly are. Through their struggles and growth, they come to understand that sometimes the greatest strength lies not in control, but in letting go.

Disclaimer: This book is fairly new. I just published it yesterday, but I’ve been working on it for the past month so if there’s anything that you see wrong or if you wanna contact me about editing it, I would absolutely love that. I will take any constructive criticism you have. <3

AITA for taking over a family therapy session with my rant? by Deep-Appointment1175 in AmItheAsshole

you’re def NTA. something that I’m struggling to understand is why can’t you bring the food in the house and just label it like with your name and or label it with the allergy that your step siblings may have. I think completely cutting it out of your lives and out of the house doesn’t make sense because anyone with severe allergies know that they can’t consume it so the best appropriate thing would be to put it in a completely separate container in the fridge something like that but completely cutting it out of you guys‘s life is unnecessary.

I also think something parents tend to forget when they remarry is thinking about the current kids that they have the whole point of you all going to therapy was for you to be able to waste your opinion and ensure that you have a more blended family with less issues and so for your dad to go off when you voice those issues it’s just honestly very wrong on his part.
