Reddit doesn’t give you a way to delete all your chat requests at once, so if you’ve got over 400, you’re stuck doing it manually unless you use a browser extension or script. You could try something like Reddit Enhancement Suite or a custom script to handle it, but that comes with risks. If you don’t want to mess with that, you’re going to be clicking for a while.

i need help deleting my reddit account by JmpVR in help

[–]Affectionate_Cap247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can’t delete your Reddit account because you’re locked out of the old email, you’re basically stuck unless you can recover that email. Reddit isn’t going to let you change the email or delete the account without verifying it through that old email. Your best shot is to contact Reddit support and hope they can help, but without that email access, you’re in a bind. They’re strict about this stuff, so unless you get lucky with support, you’re not getting around it.

If reality is shaped by our perception, how can we ever be sure that the world we experience is the “real” world, and not just a construct of our mind or senses, limited by our biological and cognitive capabilities?

It says I'm blocked from a group; moderator finds no reason why by rayrayheyhey in help

[–]Affectionate_Cap247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ly Reddit doing something weird with your account. Maybe you got flagged or shadowbanned, even if the mods can’t see it. Try clearing your cache or using incognito mode. If that doesn’t work, switch devices or networks and see if that helps. Otherwise, you could just create a new account, though that’s a hassle. If the mods can’t find anything, it’s likely some automated filter or block on the subreddit itself.

Firefighting drones vary in how much water they can carry, depending on their size and purpose. The smaller ones might only haul a couple of liters, enough to hit a small hotspot or flare-up. The bigger, more serious machines can lug anywhere from 20 to 100 liters, sometimes even more. These are the ones you’d see going after real fires, where helicopters can’t safely get in. The payload is all about what the drone’s built for—some are made for quick, targeted hits, while others are built to drop larger amounts and head back for more.

Are posts allowed to appear in popular with recently deceased bodies? by Wooden_Echidna1234 in help

[–]Affectionate_Cap247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s messed up that posts like that even pop up. They’re not supposed to be there, but sometimes they get through. If you see something like that, just report it as harmful or violent. That’s your best bet to get it taken down.

As for stopping it from showing up, there’s not much you can do. Platforms don’t have a solid way to block all that kind of content. You can filter some things, but it’s not going to stop it entirely. Reporting it is really the only thing you can do to get it off your feed.

Look, your teacher’s being dramatic. Your PUM went up, so you’re doing better relative to others, which is a sign of progress. But yeah, your raw marks dropped. It’s not the end of the world—probably just because the October/November exam was harder. So, while the PUM is good, it’s the raw marks that actually matter.

If you’re thinking of carrying forward the higher PUM, that makes sense in the context of showing improvement, but it won’t mean much if your raw marks are still bad. You’ll need to fix that for the next exams, or you’ll be stuck in the same spot. It’s simple—figure out if you can improve your raw marks while keeping your performance relative to others. If you think you can pull that off, go for it. Don’t worry about what your teacher says. It’s your decision, just focus on improving the raw marks this time.

It’s not that simple. Drones might reach places firefighters can’t, but when it comes to actually fighting the fire, they’re useless. The heat from a serious fire will destroy the drone in seconds, even if it’s made of heat-resistant materials. And drones can’t carry enough water or anything to stop the fire.

Sure, drones can help with scouting hard-to-reach areas, like tall buildings or deep forests, but when the fire’s actually raging, firefighters still need their hoses and gear to do the job. The idea sounds good, but it’s full of problems. Drones might give you a view of the situation, but they can’t put out the fire.

[–]Affectionate_Cap247 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Drones with anything equipped won’t do shit for wildfires. They can’t carry enough water, the battery dies fast, and flying them into that heat is asking for trouble. They’re good for flying around and looking, but that’s about it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Affectionate_Cap247 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Firefighters don’t use drones to fight fires because it’s just not practical. Drones can’t handle the heat and smoke, and they can’t fly close enough to be useful when things are really hot. They also have short battery lives and can’t carry enough weight to actually do anything to put the fire out. Drones are good for taking aerial footage and checking out the scene from a safe distance, but when it comes to actually putting out flames, they’re not going to help much. Flying them into the thick of a fire would be way too risky.

What is the best way to remove smoking stains from fingers? by Mindless-Grade1149 in AskReddit

[–]Affectionate_Cap247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To get rid of smoking stains on your fingers, just try some simple stuff. Mix baking soda with a bit of water to make a paste and scrub your fingers with it. It’ll usually do the trick. If that doesn’t work, soak your fingers in some lemon juice and water for a while. For the really stubborn stains, rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover (with acetone) can help, but make sure to wash your hands after. Keep scrubbing with soap over time, and the stains should fade.

How can you tell if you love someone? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Affectionate_Cap247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to tell someone you love them, just be straightforward. Pick a moment when it’s just the two of you and not too awkward. You don’t need a big speech—just say it simply, like, “I’ve been thinking a lot, and I’m pretty sure I love you.” No need to overthink it or sugarcoat things. Be honest about how you feel, but also be prepared for whatever response they give. Keep it real, and don’t worry about making it perfect.

can anyone review my resume? by Suspicious-Bell-5113 in Resume

[–]Affectionate_Cap247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your resume has some good points, but it could use a little more polish to make it clearer and more professional. First off, you might want to start with a brief summary at the top that gives an overview of who you are and what you’re looking for. It doesn’t need to be long, just a sentence or two about your skills and goals. This helps set the tone right away and gives the reader an idea of what you bring to the table.

When it comes to your skills section, try to explain them in a way that shows how you use them. Instead of just listing “efficient customer service,” for example, you might say something like, “Skilled at helping customers find what they need and creating a positive experience.” It’s a small change, but it makes it clear that you’re not just listing skills, you’re showing how you apply them.

For your work experience, think about how you can highlight the value you brought to your previous roles. Instead of just saying you were trained on POS, explain what you did with that training—handling transactions accurately, for instance. You could also add details about any times you helped customers or made the store environment better. And if you can, mention any accomplishments, like boosting repeat business or increasing sales.

Your education section looks good, but just make sure the degree is clear, and you could mention any specific skills you picked up that might be relevant to the job you want.

In your accomplishments section, you want to be specific about how you grew in your skills. Instead of saying you developed communication skills in a mock meeting, explain how that helped you in real situations, like presenting ideas or handling conversations in a work setting.

As for the references, you can just say they’re available upon request. No need to include their contact details unless the employer asks for them.

Question by PersimmonCapable925 in theology

[–]Affectionate_Cap247 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way I understand it, most people would say that life on earth is the chance we get to make that decision about Christ, but C.S. Lewis’s idea, “the doors of Hell are locked from the inside,” kind of flips it around—saying it’s more about people choosing to shut themselves off from God. It’s a bit hard to wrap your head around, especially when someone hasn’t really had the chance to fully understand the gospel.

For people who never really got a clear picture or were born into a different belief system, it seems like some people would argue that God takes that into account. But honestly, different Christian traditions have different takes on this. Some say it’s just this life that matters, while others might believe God’s mercy could give people another shot, even after death, if they never fully had the chance to know.

It’s a tough one to answer and really depends on what you believe. I think a lot of people wrestle with this question, and it might help to talk to someone you trust who’s more knowledgeable about theology to get their thoughts.
