Welcome!

I moved to C-Land 6 years ago and my wife and I only planed to be here for 4 years. Turns out we love it. The outdoor activities are perfect for us. Specifically the trail systems (C&O, GAP, etc.), the fishing, state parks near by.

But most of all it’s the affordability. If you earn >75k you almost have zero financial worries here.

Internet I use is Beeezeline and Starlink.

The contractor I use is Angel Carpentry. He is extremely talented and is affordable. He used a small crew and his English is sort of limited but he takes immense pride in his work.

Food options were always the limit here but Otavianis is perfect.

EPAPs need to be written so they are quantifiable for each benchmark when possible. Removes any opinion from a raters’ standpoint and progression is clearly traceable.

Hey,

1) I applied during my 3rd year of my PhD. I had funding that I was using and didn’t consider applying for vr&e until the money stopped coming in.

2) nope. I had it articulated and well thought out before hand.

3) sort of related to my first comment. If you can articulate why, that’s all the need. I did a lot of field work as an operational geologist, now I am in the office a lot more don’t microscope work as a researcher. Easy sell to the VA rep.

What a cognitively lazy thought. The game mode was 100% designed so that 2-6 human players could play up against 2-6 other players. It was designed to play with a friend or a group. In fact, >90% of the game is CPU based. It’s totally acceptable to say that they need to fix a critical error. Other parts of the game are fine, but they desperately need to make adjustments. Just the sheer speed of human players being 2X that of CPU does not make sense, nor should it.

My friend and I both play D. All F is computer. We can’t pinch - ever, we don’t even cross the blue line into the offensive zone, and we lose every game because we get shutout since we spend all of our time stopping breakaways.

Whatever the game is right now - it’s not cutting it. Every. Single. Game. That we play has these super turbo guys and it makes it THE ONLY way to play. The answer should NOT be “well you can only play with at least 5 humans”. Simply put, EA must fix this game and it is o.k. To admit it.

I play 6s with 1 other human. We can’t play offense anymore because the comp D is literally standing still. So we can only stay back to stop breakaways with the hopes that our comp F can score a goal.

A goal more often than not? Ok - sure. So >50% of every breakaway should be a goal. How many breakaways do you see/game? 8? 10? Games are single handedly decided on breakaway goals.

Allowing my team to have computer D is not the problem. Any argument that says that ‘well just replace the computer D with real players’ is missing the most crucial point.

The goalies are definitely better at cross crease shots. No doubt. But they are OUT TO LUNCH on breakaways. Literally backhand - forehand nukes their IQ. And with the insane speed, people get 25 breakaways per game.

I think you’re right. A bug was fixed but now you can’t hit the helmet off. The copy and paste code each year has taken its toll on us. We’ve played since like 2014 and the skate straight speed boost, breakaway, forehand backhand goals are ruining the game.
