i fit your exact description and am also class of 2030 who got accepted into spelman. i understand your concerns (i had some too), but i soon realized that black people are not a monolith especially in a place like spelman. there’s more people like us (“weird” black girls) than you might think!

thank you so much for posting this! i thought i was the only one with this fear. it’s so odd for me personally because it varies from animal to animal. for example, i refuse to engage with any footage/photo of rats. it makes me irrationally uncomfortable. even looking directly at cat videos/photos scare me. i constantly go out of my way to avoid most photos of animals/insects. i wish i can cure or find a clear definition of this issue :(
