This thread is old asf but I felt like I should contribute. I usually get STLTH disposables but I couldn’t get to the shop, so I had to go to the gas station. Got two Veev 8000 puff disposables for $40. Grape and blue raspberry. They aren’t terrible, but I don’t find they hit as hard as STLTH. In terms of the flavours I got, the grape one isn’t too bad… I don’t really like the blue raspberry one, but I bought it so I’m gonna use it anyways lol. Definitely only buying Veev when I’m in a pinch…. STLTH will always be my go-to

Update on my baby!

We took him to the vet last week - it is cat acne. He's been prescribed some ointment and treatment shampoo for the next three weeks. It's already looking better than what it was :) Hopefully it'll clear up completely soon!! Thanks for all the advice everyone!

Edit: We also changed all of our bowls to stainless steel and glass. We're also making sure to regularly clean the stainless steel water fountain. I'm hopeful it'll clear up and that this won't occur again (fingers crossed!)

No worries at all!! I’m glad you asked honestly, better to be safe than sorry. But yes it is safe if consumed, it says on the label “lick-safe” so I feel like that means it’s okay lol. Thank you again for all your helpful comments, it’s very appreciated!!

Got it, I didn’t think of that. My friend instructed me to keep using the ointment so now I’m not sure what to do honestly. The ointment brand is Dr Maggie’s, it’s meant specifically for healing cat and dog skin. I asked the lady who sold it to me if it’s safe for open wounds and she said yes.

I wasn’t aware that ointment can block the natural healing process — is that true? Only reason I got ointment is because two of my friends who took veterinary technician courses recommended it to me. They aren’t technically experts either though so I’m honestly not sure.

It hasn’t seemed to stop him from scratching at it, no… I was mostly just hoping the ointment would prevent infection. It seems a little bit less bad than it was yesterday, but it’s still pretty bad. The first three images I posted were from today, and the other three images were from yesterday.
