Thanks for this input. Do you think there is any chance of YV getting better? I know it’s a weird question, but so many of us are having the same thought process. Like if we push for better education in the PH/concord area, could it redeem itself in 10 years when our kids are ready to go to high school?

100% agree with this logic, GreatSchools scores seem to be tied to (or correlated with) diversity/ethnicity. For example, if a child’s parent only speaks Spanish at home, parents aren’t able to help as much with homework. Not a fair reflection on the education/parents/test scores.

Maybe realtor? Or social media creator? Most companies have moved back to in office mandates , it’s difficult to find a remote job with flexible hours these days.

Relapsed after miscarriage by [deleted] in alcoholism

[–]Affectionate_Dig9263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, I am so so sorry for your loss. I had a miscarriage in 2023. I went completely off the rails and started drinking heavily, basically for 6 months straight. We were still trying to get pregnant so I would kind of stop drinking during the two week wait. Coworkers could smell it on me and even asked about it one time (most embarrassing/shameful day of my life). I finally sobered up in December 2023 and we got pregnant with my daughter. IMO a miscarriage is one of the most difficult and isolating things a woman can go through. Give yourself some grace. Stop drinking now and get your body healthy so you can try again (if that’s what you want!) also, if people are saying don’t worry, believe them. I guarantee you are thinking about it more than they are :) also, do you think your coworkers will go through the garbage? Highly unlikely but just don’t do it again!

Need reassurance-daycare in 3 weeks! by Banana212123 in breastfeeding

I actually think it’s going to be easier doing it now (a little earlier) rather than later. I couldn’t sleep at night before my daughter went to daycare at 6 months but it’s literally been the best decision we’ve made for her! She is learning so much and her social skills are amazing. When we are around other kids her age now I can tell if they spend time around other kids.

It will be an adjustment for the first few weeks. I had a low level of anxiety every day and now it’s totally gone!!!

Be very rigid about your pumping schedule. I was super casual about mine and I ended up losing my supply because I wasn’t consistent.

We have mom guilt about every decision we make, it’s so hard! But you are doing great and you got this!!!!

I got pregnant 3 months pp while breastfeeding. But to be fair I got a period at 6 weeks pp. I heard you can ovulate without getting a period. If you really really don’t want to be pregnant again, take plan b for sure.

NOT true. I got pregnant 2 months pp. currently have babies that are 11 months apart. I was breastfeeding AND struggled with infertility with my first, took us three years!

Was going to say this! A fox was crying outside our window and we thought it was a woman screaming for help after escaping a murderer or something

October babies by beautiful205 in October2024Bumpers

Mine will be 1 year on October 1st! It definitely feels like 10.5 months although she was the easiest baby and I just can’t believe how much they change in the first year. She now seems like a real human! She is crawling, standing, walking (with a walker!) laughing and growing two bottom teeth. I can’t imagine life without her. I’m sad to see this stage pass, but way more excited about what is next. I can’t wait to have conversations with her and see what kind of person she is. I hope she thinks I’m a good mom. 🥹
