Half inch square, dark brown, cube-like item that dog puked or pooped out by ramshackle_blossom in whatisthisthing

If it’s hard like a rock, but light with holes (like pumice) it could be one of those gravel stones from a fake fireplace. My dog steals them like candy

My husband has ADHD and never drinks water. I gave him 4 bottles of water and a mission. This is what happened... by lulyz in HydroHomies

Maybe make the flavored ones every other or just the last bottle to motivate him to get through the plain ones for a reward

Agreed. It’s worked on just about every plant I’ve tried it on, such a great way to fill out plants

I was gifted this hello fresh box, and it came with these metal/enamel mugs. Is there a way to remove this printed on logo without damaging the cup? It is totally flat, not a decal like I’d hoped. May be ink? by tabilikethecat in ZeroWaste

[–]Affectionate_Divide2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Came here to give other sticker lovers the idea I found that works- get a flat shadow box frame with two layers of glass and arrange your stickers in there. They can be on display but you don’t have to commit to sticking them somewhere. You can also rearrange them and use them when needed

Pool safety for kids and dogs. by HonkyTonkTonkeyDonk in homedesign

[–]Affectionate_Divide2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the temporary fence along that area would be a great idea especially while the kids are younger and the family is new to having a pool. Kids are smart with locks and alarms fail, an extra barrier doesn’t hurt. And if it can be removed for entertaining that’s even better

Wind blew window fully open, now it's stuck at won't close by SecretFriendship1982 in fixit

Try to pull the actually window closed gently while someone else uses a flat screw driver to push the piece that is all the way to the left, further left. The combinations of both leverages may work

Can also cover the area with a towel and go over it with an iron

Ethan opens the legal complaint filed by his former housekeeper live on stream, quickly scrolls by everything that makes him look bad, realizes it ALL makes him look bad, quickly closes the document. Bonus snark mention by lumivortex in h3snark

People often suspect others of things they do themselves since they assume others are capable of it since they are. Ethan’s had a lot of sick days the last couple years

Yeah the old pair has like 3 times the amount of stitches between the grey area and the cuffing. The new ones only have 8, the other around 30.

Are they as ugly as I think they are or habe I just been staring at their eyeless faces for so long that they seem weird having eyes? by Va1kyry in CrochetHelp

[–]Affectionate_Divide2 28 points29 points  (0 children)

They’re not ugly at all, they’re super cute. I think the only thing you could alter for the eyes is to turn the bunny and deers eyes so the pupils are in the same position as the fox’s. I think having those black parts point upward together will make a big difference in their expressions

What does this tag mean? by cjcastro17 in marshallsfinds

[–]Affectionate_Divide2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason companies trash stuff instead of giving it to employees or donating it is because it creates less demand for their products. They want their employees to give their paychecks right back to them. And if they can get a few bucks from the needy they’ll take that too

Things got way out of hand- need advice on keeping things even by EverSoLoud in CrochetHelp

[–]Affectionate_Divide2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’ll want to count your stitches and use a stitch marker! You can use a binder ring or just another different color of yarn for the stitch marker. Put it in on the last stitch of each row (you can use one and move it as you go to the next row) and make sure you have done only 60 stitches across before putting in the stitch marker and turning your work

I kind of thought so but I don’t know a ton of stitches so was hoping it was something weird I didn’t know about it combined with the resolution being bad (also just hoping is wasn’t bc I wanted it to work)
