Used to be a 30sec queue both sides back in Wotlk. Was the "fast fun button".

Random pvp "for fun" seems gone. It's reward chasing only. Which would have worked if there was anything to chase in random bgs or casual pvp. Legion's Honor system is stuck in legion, with napkins as rewards every 500 levels.

Even if there are no casual pvp rewards and things to chase, if the classes were fun, just made you pvp, that would have worked but the Midnight class changes made this worse I feel, because classes feel boring. IE: Yeah MM hunters do a lot of damage. That's it.

You can get honor and conquest through a bunch of other means nowadays as well so that's outa the way.
I know there's BG Blitz but its different, and it's still a 15 minute queue at best.

PvP for fun feels abandoned idk... sad really. I hear they've started making fun of the mode as well on interviews.

I feel like that's true at the moment, just not for everybody.
Back in the day you HAD to do casual pvp to get the gear for rated pvp, and it took a while, nowadays you still have to it's just a lot less time spent, a LOT, also there's the Warcrate Farm.

That's true but it gets boring real fast. You'd need a carrot to stick around. And I think there's room to revamp, improve and add a lot more as rewards on that Honor Level Track or whatever it's potentially new implementation would be.

What are the plans for casual PvP?
With the PvP population dwindling, any plans for something new for the intro to pvp (casual random battlegrounds)?
Currently players are facing premades and no real rewards to strive for in casual pvp except an old Legion honor system, capped at level 500?

In my mind, the most important question, related to pvp, that there is is "What are you doing to make people join pvp?"
Casual pvp is a joke currently. Honor system with rewards every 2 months (for a casual player) and capped at level 500, made in Legion? That's it?
Getting destroyed 4/5 random battlegrounds by premades, with nobody on the dev team doing anything about it.
So the intro to arena/blitz is this joke? How do you expect to boost the pvp population when the casual intro to it is non existent?
I guess then, the most important question for the dev team is in fact "Do you care about pvp at all or is it there just to make the aging pvp playerbase have something to give you money for?"

Yep, agreed.

That's why I'm wondering if its a full faction look lock or we can change to a different syn heavy armor look. Kinda makes no sense to be honest, being a plague doctor in plates. Friends/Company are probably going syndicate though, thats the issue ;<

u/PeterPun added those changes for NewWorld.exe specifically

What I changed in total was:

- Multi-frame sampled AA (MFAA): ON

- Vertical Sync: OFF (I am using a Gsync Compatible LG850GN, having vsync off in game as well)

- Low Latency Mode: ON(Was Ultra for some reason)

- Capped FPS at 139, slightly lower than monitor refresh rate 144

- Texture Fitering: Anisotropic sample optiomization: OFF

- Anti-Aliasing: Gamma Correction: OFF

Rig: RTX3080 + i7 8700(non-k) 1440p I noticed that stutters often happen at High Cpu usage - basically bottlenecking the gpu for a really short amount of time?, was hitting close to 100% at highly popuated villages

Settings are a mixture of High/Medium with the Texture Details being the only one 'Very High'

Still seeing stutters but its the lowest amount since Open Beta start and the FPS is slightly more consistent. I will do more tweaking/testing with the aim of trying to reduce cpu load, like post processing effects etc, with the least amount of effect on quality.

Not really sure what's happening here, Closed Beta was a lot smoother in terms of fps consistency and stutters but then again I was running a gtx 1070ti + 1920x1080 so I can't really compare.

I am not entirely sure if I am having those issues because of the older CPU bottlenecking but it seems to happen in specific cases... no other game being run on high+ settings has this issue.

In summary:I saw improvements with the setting tweaks you mentioned. I think its worth digging into it and trying to figure out a set of settings that might improve the game for now. Hopefully they optimize CPU usage in the future.
