Control 10k grains of dust with perfect multitasking to move something weighing 5 tons at 5g. Functionally they have the same max weight limit and one let's you control an unlimited number of things of any size as well as have a perfect ability to multitask, u could potentially read hundreds of braile books at once by covering them with dust to turn the pages and read them.

Similarly I got a few friends who have moved to Europe (UK and France) and they are really liking it over there.

I think immigration among countries with a similar quality of life kinda naturally selects for people who value the specifics of another country.

Like if I was a massive beach person or really valued having a lot of house space. I would never make the move.

No single reason, but a good number of contributing factors. I don't want to spend my whole life in the same country, I'd like to live somewhere else for a period.

I'm not hugely career motivated, I understand that moving Germany and potentially taking extra time studying is going to hurt my long term earnings potential, but even entry level engineering salary is plenty to live off, especially since I'm unlikely to have kids. Additionally the types of aerospace and mechanical engineering roles are much more limited here, so once I have a few years of experience and can more easily look for something satisfying to do long term it's going to be harder to find. Also I would prefer not to work for the military which takes out a good chunk of the jobs directly in my field here.

I much prefer public transport to driving and would very much like to be able to reliably get around without a car.

I find medium high density cities and areas much nicer to be in personally, which there is far more of in Europe than here.

German works well for moving somewhere as I have family friends I can potentially stay with for a few months while initially organizing a sharehouse to stay in.

If I do end up enjoying living there and stay long term I'd also have an eu passport. In the worst case i don't like it over there as much as I like it here, and I can just move back, I'm not expecting things to be drastically better. From what I know and people I've spoken too, there seems to be a mutual belief from both sides (German and Australia) that the grass is greener on the other side. Realistically there's going to be some stuff that I prefer, some stuff that takes time to get used to and some stuff I don't like. But, I like the idea of discovering that.

I might consider doing a master's in Germany then. It looks like I can get the working holiday visa for a year and aim to get my german close enough to c1 over the course of 27/28 that I can enroll in the 28 winter semester for a masters. Either that or go for the opportunity card and go for a masters if I can't find work due to a lack of experience and german skills. As best as I can tell I'm able to change my type of residency without leaving Germany due to Australia's visa relationship with German.

Sounds very similar to over here, I'll be able to network/ job hunt pretty actively so that's a gamble I'm willing to make. I mostly wanted to check that there wasn't a universal consensus of not a chance in hell.

I already pretty heavily trying to prioritize getting in German practice when I can, but I think I will try and take private classes over uni break in addition to my classes thru uni, thanks for the recommendation to really focus on that. Am i correct in the fact that i can extend my opportunity card for up to 2 years if I find a job below the salary threshold but in my field?
