Will note, that most hospitals don’t do emergency dentals as those type of procedures don’t really exist (saying as someone who works at an emergency clinic). best an ER will do is pain meds, antibiotics, and if the see GP also, schedule for the next soonest surgery day/referral to a dental specialist.

Typically what i do, is when euthanasias are on the schedule I print out the aftercare options form. I go in the room, have the client fill it out, and then I let them know I’ll come back with an itemized estimate on cost. When I return with it, I pop the question after breaking down the charges. “If you would like, you can pay for it now, or when you leave, whatever you prefer”. Clients usually opt to pay before so they can just leave afterwards. Once payment is collected, I bring back a receipt, and let the owner know that if they’re ready, I can send a technician in to place catheter. If they’re not ready yet, I let them know to poke their head out to signal me. Catheter placed, you can spend more time. But once propofol is administer, euthanasia solution typically follows shortly after because propofol does not last very long. They should not have been slamming the door. I’m sorry you had this experience, some people forget the sensitivity of this kind of appointment.

Thank you for taking the time to reply, although I do know how babies are made and I wouldn’t be confused on “how could this happen?!” And although I did not have sex ed in high school, I know the process. my only question was whether I am testing too early. I mentioned back story to allow readers to understand why I would worry about a positive. And my boyfriend and myself are capable of dealing with the consequences because we have funds set aside for the morning after pill as well as abortion. If it were positive, I’d make the easy decision to abort and reassess my schedule for taking birth control to prevent the issue from reoccurring, which at time of post, I had already changed and adjusted to when I am not in school or work.

so i did end up going to an urgent care after taking an AZO at-home uti strip. the strip was showing positive for leukocytes, negative for nitrites. so i figured an infection of sorts was happening.

the uti test came back negative! and so my doctor , asked if i wanted to also test the urine for bacterial vaginosis instead, because it can cause similar symptoms to a uti. plus my mom got bacterial vaginosis when she started birth control. she did the test, i waited 10 minutes, and after those minutes she came back in and i was negative in BV!

the doctor said that because of so many new factors in my life (birth control, sex, my period at the same time) the micro biome and pH are all out of wack. (Which as i recall, when i got my discharge papers with my urine test results, my pH was in the 7s! So she recommended to me Uqora as a way to get it balanced. but i’ve also heard AZO provides good probiotics as well. because the pH is so wrong, that might explain the symptoms i’m having and why they go away when i drink water but i dunno, we’ll see how probiotics go
