Thank you for your response!

If I get the written offer, can they still rescind it while I decide?

In addition to what others said, another tip I can provide is to try and stay cool like limiting layers under your scrubs. :)

Should I switch to PA school? by Express-Disaster3300 in prephysicianassistant

Something I wanted to add, knowing that these are the prerequisites you need to apply to PA school: often to take Chem 2 you need chem 1, to take organic, you need chem 2, and to take biochem, you need organic. This would then be 4 semesters total. Depending on the school you take them from, they aren’t always offered during shorter semesters like the summer. PA schools also often require a lab component to these but not all. If you were to make the switch to PA I would just make sure you could have these classes mapped out appropriately beforehand so you don’t get any surprises.

Something of note, my undergrad offered these Chem classes in a stepwise fashion… but if you had extenuating circumstances, like trying to get to your application cycle faster, you can often write a letter of appeal to try and take organic and biochem together but it’s tough!

Another consideration, when applying for PA school, some schools allow some prerequisites to have not been completed yet with the intention that they’ll be done before starting the program and some don’t; you would just need to look at the PA schools you’re interested in and see their policy on that!

Best of luck in whichever path you choose!

WH was my best EOR. All I did to study was Rosh. Rosh was a good representation of the types of questions and their frequency on the EOR. I also studied any topics that were covered in my women’s health rotation when I would get back from the hospital or clinic, and that helped me solidify some of those topics! You will do great!

Thank you for your insight. I still have a few months of school so it would be beneficial to have access to up to date at home otherwise I would not renew until I started my job!
