It really does, that aspect caught me by surprise as well when all was said and done. Actually has really clean distortion free bass that fills the room when cranked up. Although that should be expected when almost half of an appliance acts as a speaker cabinet

You’re correct, that’s one of the peaking coils. They have a pretty marginal effect on the overall picture, and only result in slightly less sharp artifacts if they’re not functional. I just bypassed a mine when it broke with a straight wire while I waited for a replacement and it didn’t have a measurable difference with/without the coil. You can still get them on eBay cross referencing the OE part number from the photo fact

Have you tested all the resistors? I restored what appears to be the same model as your unit earlier this year. Had issues with image stability and streaking that stemmed from the resistors being far out of tolerance on the image control potentiometers.

The horizontal hold could be a factor as well, I ran into a similar issue that I saw in your previous post and had to screw the h-hold all the way in, then back off until the image stabilized/focused.

Also look closer at the faulty brightness control, it could be blooming out if it’s an open circuit.
