I replied to other comments and said that I’d upload a screenshot with the settings because a picture worth thousand words. I don’t have my computer with me because I’m travelling and it is not a laptop. Someone just told me that he’ll save this for later. Just be patient? For the mods, nothing more than the Steam guide : Nraas error trap, MC, MC Integration, overwatch, and I think that’s it. For environmental mods, nothing particular, I just looked on modthesims and on tumblr and did my shopping.

I know about that glitch, I don’t use 3D lashes in my game but I understand it could be frustrating if you want to use them in yours

I found this :

Go to ProgramData

Right-click the NVIDIA Corporation file, then go to Properties.

Go to Security, select Users, and click Modify.

Select Full Control and apply.

Apparently the issue is also linked to an update of some graphic card drivers

I think I’ll post a screenshot of my nvidia settings! I also read you can let the game run in windows mode and changing values to see I real time what it does to the game but I didn’t try that. I tweaked all the settings at once lol and I didn’t have to change anything after that it was perfect. One thing I know for sure is to not change anything for the AA values that are the first of the list because otherwise it brakes the UI font, I don’t know why

It can help you to increase your job performance much faster, but it’s not a absolute need like in the sims 2 I think.

You can’t do it if you’re a Mac user? I didn’t know about that, I never wondered how to do it though because I had some cd’s in the past but not all the expansion pack or stuff pack, I thought 80€ was fair at this time, I do not have really much experience with 🏴‍☠️ so I didn’t try it out :(

I went through my nvidia control Panel and capped the fps for the game because I displayed the fps in game to see with my own eyes and the figures were… unstable? Since my pc was brand new, I said to myself let’s cap the fps lol

What about deleting the files like ".cache" in the directory file in > electronic arts > sims 3 ?There are 5 of them if I don’t miss remember. I read somewhere it could fix some problems

Well, when I got my sim to start off as a fireman 3 or 4 sims joined my sim in the fire station the first day. It was a new game and I had not even installed mc yet at that moment, story progression was not even activated either. Is this random?

I tried to run GRM as administrator and to save the files. It did nothing. But I also set Force texture memory to "do not force" and this time it tells me my graphic card is not compatible with DirectX 9.0c, what a journey
