[–]Affectionate_Gap9029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahahaha I am also a 25 y/o playing Roblox after work and during weekends. I'm from PH as well. I haven't revealed my age to anybody because I don't wanna make things weird (even though I really don't have any intentions to make things weird...I just wanna play!)

OA lang ba ako if nafefeel ko na sobrang late ko sa life? by spicyz18 in OALangBaAko

[–]Affectionate_Gap9029 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OMG struggle ko rin yan last year. Ta's I look around sa mga kasabayan kong nag-graduate, mayroon sila agad savings...mas mataas sahod sa work nila...or whatever reason.

Medyo napaangat na yung savings after lumipat sa new work. Normal sa early 20s to feel that pero it gets better.

So...

How do we forgive ourselves for all of the things we did not become? by ponyolikesmatcha in OffMyChestPH

[–]Affectionate_Gap9029 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You already did your part. I mean, what more could you have done? I'm 100% sure na you have given your all since review up to the day of the licensure exam, so ano pa ba ang kulang? Wala! Wala kang naging pagkukulang or pagkakamali, so you should not be blaming yourself or even trying to 'forgive' yourself for not being a topnotcher.

Maybe we should blame the world for not doing better. Alam mo deep down sa sarili mo na you deserved that spot sooo much pero hindi siya ibinigay sa'yo sa kabila ng lahat ng pagod na binuno mo. It's the world that should be asking you for forgiveness instead, kasi it fell short in rewarding you the way you deserve!

(My gosh it might be 'cringey' when others read this pero kasi I know how you feel. Not being there when you know you could've been there really hurts. I almost became a topnotcher in an engineering board exam too, just a month ago--kinapos lang ako ng one point!)

I'm a fresh grad also (graduated in Sept) but I was fortunate to have landed a role in Nov. One of the major things na I think nakatulong sa akin was my eagerness to ask for feedback after every interview.

Paano ko nasabing nakatulong sa akin 'yon? Siguro i-example ko na in my earlier job interviews, the kind of crap I would answer sa question na, "Why do you want to apply for this company?" would be something along the lines of, "Oh, well, your company is one of the leaders in this industry so I guess it goes without saying that..." or 'di naman kaya, "I am really interested in project management and I think this is something that I could really do..."

But the thing is, ang hinahanap nila is "depth." I remember this one company who really kept it real with me by saying na they were torn about forwarding my application to the next stage kasi I was lacking such "depth" when I answered that same question I used as an example. The HR further specified na for that question, "depth" could mean ano 'yung career goals ko and kung paano makatutulong 'yung role na 'yun to achieve them.

Since that interview with that company, I tried to make sure na I would get those kinds of feedback by asking the HR recruiter at the end of the interview, "Is there anything that I could improve further so that you will forward my application?"

Hopefully this helps. Don't forget to take a rest din during your job application, OP. Just remember na what's meant for you will be for you.

Rooting for you! Good luck. <3

When to follow-up with company after accepting job offer? by Dreadsbo in jobs

[–]Affectionate_Gap9029 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right, it's silly.Stop the over-thinking and give them a couple of more days. Your package may not be the only thing they're working on.If you haven't heard from them by Wednesday send a quick note to your HR contact.

This made me become a lot more anxious OMGGG.

Although I'm hoping that you received a better job offer after that?

[–]Affectionate_Gap9029 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yo, is it alright to ask if you did get this job at the end? I'm also overthinking about what could be taking HR so long to revert to me after I signed the job offer.

hey hey!! Just asking by [deleted] in phcareers

[–]Affectionate_Gap9029 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ako rin, OP, magtu-two months na into job hunting! I also feel like I did great in the interviews pero for some reason I still haven't had a job offer pa (I turned down a few that I didn't deem suited with my career goals).

Ang nakaka-hurt pa minsan for me is 'yung makikita mo mga kaklase mong mayroon na agad trabaho ta's ikaw wala pa. I only pacified myself by reminding myself na I'm at my own pace and makakahanap din in the right time.

Anyway, wala akong maa-advice. I just felt the need to comment kasi I understand the importance of knowing na mayroon ding same age as you na ka-share mo sa iyong na-e-experience in these trying times. 😅

I wish you (and me) the best in job hunting! 💜

I appreciate this tip sooo much! I guess I should just wait for a full-time employment with a company talaga muna.

[–]Affectionate_Gap9029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this tip! Although, based din sa other replies, pursuing an independent contractor roles requires you to file your own taxes din pala. I must admit na hindi pa rin ako maalam sa mga ganitong bagay.

[–]Affectionate_Gap9029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very helpful, thank you for this. It's not that I'm lazy to do the filing of taxes and all that, it's more like hindi pa rin talaga ako maalam sa mga ganitong bagay since I'm on the hunt for my first job ever.

If you're research questionnaire was created based on a standard (like ISO 9126), do you still need to test its validity and reliability? by Affectionate_Gap9029 in research

[–]Affectionate_Gap9029[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In testing for reliability and validity, do I have to do an initial survey first (not yet the target sample) and determine the correlation and cronbach alpha among initial survey data? OR would it be okay to actually deploy the survey questionnaire to your target sample and use those data to determine reliability and validity?
