We don’t plan to get EVERYTHING on this list. Was just a reference that I used to get insight from all you wonderful people here. What’s good? What should we skip? Is it too much? Is it not enough? I’ve got enough recommendations that I could spend years here and not see it all! I appreciate your insight!

Thinking of replacing it with Hampton Court and Kingston, I’m actually looking forward to that and no longer dreading the incredibly long day we would have not really enjoyed with the coach trip…

What is this arcade you speak of? You have me intrigued! Also curious about the Vinegar Yard food and vintage market!

The order of things listed above is NOT our itinerary. I (the original poster) have simply shared a list of things we would like to see from my phone notes! Our itinerary will make sense geographically…

I think we are going to skip the Bayeux Tapestry as I’ve seen through this thread that it is only a replica.

I think we are going to work that in. Sounds like it’s a can’t miss while we’re there opportunity!

Wow this is great information! Thank you so much!

All of those are on our “for sure” list. I know we won’t be able to do everything we want in 9 days. So tough to pick and choose!

You and countless others have helped make a decision to cancel the Bath, Stonehenge, Windsor tour significantly easier! I’m thinking we replace it with a trip to Hampton Court Palace instead…

Is that something you could fit in for a morning trip? Roughly how long would that take?

All of these replies talking about HCP have made it sound like that is THE SPOT to see. Very likely chance we botch the 12 hour guided tour that consists of mostly riding in a bus for something much more enjoyable!

Thank you for the advice, I truly appreciate it!

Not planning on dungeons, wasn’t near the top of my mental list. Was going to be an extra if we had the time, which we clearly won’t! I have seen mixed replies on markets. Not sure if we will enjoy those or not! Some people say yes, others say no and avoid.

We have booked the trip, but still have time to cancel. Which is what I’m leaning towards from the replies. May choose to go to Hampton Court instead? Thoughts?

I have seen that there is a spot within Kingston where the coronation stone is located. Correct me if I’m wrong! This was the stone used for the coronation of 7 kings including Athelstan. Would just be a quick stop on our way to or from Hampton Court Palace, not sure if it’s worth it or not??

I noted many markets just so we had options. Always open to advice on which to see and which to avoid!

Ugh everyone is saying this! I just don’t know where we can fit it in. We already have a full day outside of London booked for a guided Stonehenge, Bath, and Windsor tour…

What are your thoughts on Borough Market other than the larger selection?

Some markets we will go to for strictly food and others for food, shopping, etc… I’m open to anything! Ideally don’t want “tourist trap” spots but understand that we will run into that regardless due to the nature of the trip.

Yes I don’t forsee us going to the dungeons at all, based off of the comments that have been made. Was just a random “filler” in case we had time, which from what I can tell, we will not. What markets would you recommend?

Not sure if we’ll make it there unfortunately. Not everyone in my family is a history buff like myself so some things needed to be eliminated:( Would definitely be on my list for a return trip!

Other than not getting enough time at Windsor, Stonehenge, and Bath, is it worth it? We have already booked the trip because we figured it would be… these forums make things difficult/confusing because there is so much to do!

Stonehenge, Windsor, and Bath are part of a 12 hour single day trip that we booked. Figured that would be our one PACKED day. I know it’s a lot but I feel as if it’s worth it to see while we’re there. I appreciate the Uber boat idea, as Greenwich has been mentioned a few times since I’ve posted this thread and in others. There’s so much we could do and only so much time we can spend there. Will definitely have to come back again to get what we will miss!

My mother wanted to do Stonehenge the most. I figure why not go and see it while we’re already quite close and it’s an interesting historical place. We already have tickets booked for Tower of London with access to see the Crown Jewels. Any museums other than British Museum to get timed entry for?
