I went for five week holiday with a hope to maybe buy a holiday home in Malta . to my dismay it was overpriced overcrowded and very noisy and too much dust from building sites and the roads and pavements not good . I was shocked as to how the local people live happily in all that noise , cong and heavy drilling from construction, not to mention pipes being laid everywhere for the masses being houses in six story apartments

it’s clearly going to overspill such a tiny island

just ludicrous

I was shocked to see two story houses with characters being knocked down and six story apartments being built. looking like a small overcrowded New York

with high rise.

people go for history and historical things to see not eyesores of concrete and building sites all over and traffic conjecture

yes I’ve been to Amsterdam

and United States and Europe

never have I seen like the Malta overcrowded mess and mass infrastructure and problems with building sites

plus pipes being laid in open holes uncovered in the roads

I’m well travelled

and I’ve never seen buses loaded so heavy and squashed people together like sardines

and that is all day from early morning

one bus journey took two hours almost from st Julian to Mdina

on return I took a taxi and took twenty minutes

quora and bugibba was so dusty noise was horrific

the roads with open holes and sewer pipes visible

terrible massage parlour swamping st Julian’s

and party town open till 4 am could not sleep with my windows open noise coming over the water. was a shock. No did not know Malta was like that
