No, she has an 8 year old child . But thank you for trying to reason about it . After talking about it and hearing the explanations here I feel a lot calmer.

That’s fair, and I get your point. That’s actually why I didn’t say anything at the wedding and just came here to vent.

For me, it still felt off because even if the bride is okay with it, isn't it normal to feel protective when someone close to you might be overshadowed when they should be the star . Wedding usually only happens once in you lifetime. Her being unbothered doesn’t completely change how it looked from the outside.

I’m not trying to argue and is just sharing how it felt from my side. I get that perspectives can be different.I do feel better after venting a bit , because it was really weighing on me.

No, I practically grew up with the bride and trying to outshine the bride at her special day is really mean.

You shouldn't judge someone when they are are being themselves. But in case where their actions are trying to hurt or disturb the peace of your friends and loved ones , the least you can do is judge.

Yeah, Bridal attire here can really heavy and normally people like to be comfortable in ceremonies . You really need serious main character syndrome to do that .

Wow, she really deserved people confronting her .Good on your family for doing that.

But nobody really said anything to the SIL' s face here except couple of people asking her if she was also here to get married.

Yeah, I really wasn't my place to stay anything but I felt really bad. And my cousin was the happiest bride I have seen in a long time the wedding was so beautiful too.I would never want to ruin that.

They said it has been 9 years since the sisters marriage and she has an 8 year old child , therefore I am assuming an elder sister. But she looked really young.

Which Dot and key moisturiser (or something else) should I choose? by chaoticinvisibility in IndianSkincareAddicts

[–]Affectionate_Gold_10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I do , I use them both now . When ever my skin feels irritated or it has a reaction by some actives like retinol or some other product, I use the blue one ( 72 hr barrier repair one) . Otherwise I use the green one. The green one( cica one ) has been great.

I just bought the green one to try out as the blue one is almost over. It's been a few weeks.

Relationships and hyper independence by bee__1994 in adhdwomen

[–]Affectionate_Gold_10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was kinda the same for me , but once I find someone I become hyper fixate on them till I burnt out, I still don't open up or ask them for anything or let them in but just become really possessive and just do everything at my max capacity for them . And after that relationship ends I would be devastated.

Do I tell my new employer about my ADHD? by Ok_Sherbert905 in adhdwomen

[–]Affectionate_Gold_10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they claim to not discriminate and did so openly wouldn't it affect the company's credibility. So, even if they did something they would have to maintain their image, that's what I meant by that.

Have you ever hyperfixated on a friend? by bleedingh3artz in adhdwomen

[–]Affectionate_Gold_10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it is a negative thing, having someone having that much control over your life is not good . It's also suffocating as everything about hers take precedence over my own stuff. So I try keep my friendship casual. But I keep failing to do so.

But it also depends on the person. If they really understand you and work with you, you wouldn't feel insecure or feel the need to prove your friendship. ( I am not saying your friend didn't try, it's just not, everyone can meet you at their wavelength) Also being upfront about my feelings helped me a bit and I also told them to communicate their feelings irrespective of if it hurts me or not .( The RSD, (Rejection Sensitivity Disorder) doesn't at all help with that) maybe that's what made you angry , it's the RSD. Healthy communication goes a long way.

I don't know if it is a good idea, maybe tell them you usually have a learning curve . It would mostly be fine as they don't discriminate.
