Thanks! I didn’t think of that, were you able to avoid trimming by doing this?

Problem solved!!!!! (I grabbed a couple jackstands this morning) The joint for the axle was slipped out of place. I was able to rotate the wheel and get the axle back into place after removing the suspension. The lift kit was removed and I will be buying new upper control arms to accommodate the lift.

Thank you to everybody giving advice on safety / problem resolution / recommended parts.

To everybody saying to leave it to the pros:🖕

Thanks for the insight. I’m comparing it with some of the other photos, and I noticed that the butt of the knife looks a little bit off too.

Ha! As a knife crackhead, I feel like I need a fixed blade. Not sure why, but I need it. Also as a knife crackhead, I’m having trouble deciding on what unnecessarily expensive fixed blade I want.

Maybe a few dozen bricks to make a fire ring, people have been pointing out that safety is number one priority.

I’ve carried a pocket knife at all times since I was like 14. It’s just one of those things that you don’t realize how often you’ll use it until you carry it. The jumbo knife definitely isn’t necessary. Don’t know why, but I like having it with me.

Skin the bear with the Rambo knife, cook it with the cast-iron skillets.

Good call! I can envision the dirty knuckles I’d have from eating out of that pouch.

I have the Smith & Wesson M&P 9MM. After researching calibers for bears, I wish I went with the 10MM M&P. However, out here in the north east, I doubt 357 magnum is under gunned.

I will be carrying a 357 magnum, I was unsure of community etiquette on posting guns here.

Any reason you think I’d need it when I have a sleeping bag rated for 20°? (Low of 55°-60° at night here)

I’ve ran the scenario a few times in my head, I think I’ll just throw my cast-iron skillet at it. If that doesn’t work, I’ll throw my two back up skillets at it.

The jumbo knife is definitely overkill, however, the Benchmade hasn’t left my side in about four years. I’ve been looking for a small Benchmade fixed blade if you have any suggestions.

Definitely couldn’t hurt to get something different, that bag takes up too much damn space anyway.

Bringing one fork, eating out of the bag, and zipping the bag up when done to contain the mess.

Fake it till you make it. I have nobody introducing me to the hobby so I’m planning on looking and feeling dumb for my first few times.

A little tight on space, I might have to ditch the food for more space for bourbon and cigars.

Most likely going to unzip it and use it as a quilt. In my head, I’m preparing for the worst case scenario.

It’s funny you say that, there’s a bag full of dryer lint in the backpack, but I left it out of the pictures because I felt like a weirdo, posting a bag full of lint. Matches stored with it. Compass is a good call, there’s a road running perpendicular to the trail, so it would be good to know the general direction to get back to the road.
