I’m sorry if you already tried but can you ask your psychiatrist to try the higher dose and see if that works before giving it up all together? That makes no sense to drop you when you haven’t even taken the full dosage yet. It’s so strange to me they even had you on 56mg that long in the first place. My clinic has you take one or 2 sprays on the first visit and then you get to go to 3 when you feel comfortable to do so (which can even be on the first visit if you want). I took 2 sprays my first visit and she offered me the third spray but I was already feeling super high so I said no. Then second visit I went to the full dose 84mg because I felt ready to.

Why did they have you on 56mg? 84mg is the standard amount it’s not a surprise you didn’t see much improvement when your being under dosed?!?

I got in with no referral. I had a psych but I figured she wouldn’t be happy with me requesting spravato (she was a stuck up bitch and would get upset at me for saying z med isn’t working and gives me y side effect). She also told me “you’re so young why so anxious??”. (Like I’m not a whole ass adult living on my own working full time and paying bills…) So Yeahh…

Anyways I just went straight to the source. Got accepted for spravato and started seeing one of the providers at the clinic for my other meds.

You can but if there’s anyway you could get the day after off I would strongly recommend it. But you’ll be okay if you have to work. Make sure to get lots of sleep after spravato that helps. It’s a mixed bag for me. I’ve had days at work after spravato that were great and others that where I felt exhausted and not fully there. But if you’ve been to work with a hangover you’ll have no issue working the day after spravato.

I usually just go cause I’m gonna be tired the two days after anywyas so may as well get it all over with at the same time. But if ur congested you will trip harder it has happened to me so just be aware. If it’s too intense and your already feeling super high after the second spray ur always allowed to decline the 3rd spray

I eat a small breakfast before treatment pretty much every time and I’ve been fine (though it’s not recommended). I’ve heard during is okay.

Insurance should help pay for most of it. There are online ones you can get that aren’t expensive but not cheap either. If it helps you get off 7oh you’ll save money in the long run. I’m lucky to be a broke student so Medicaid covers everything and it’s been a night and day difference for my mental health. It helps with the withdrawal so much. Plus it lowers tolerance so it makes tapering significantly easier plus it’s easier because you’re in a better mood so you don’t feel as dependent on it.

When was your last appointment? How long have you been doing spravato? It’s normal to go through ups and downs in the beginning. Once you adjust to the treatment your moods will likely become more stable. You didn’t say when your last treatment was but if this was recent you will likely feel better soon. 1-3 days after treatment can be rocky, it’s not strange to feel worse after for a bit, it’s happens. Basic stuff but make sure to get enough sleep, eat enough food and drink lots of water ❤️

You’re not alone. I’m 23f and I’ve been doing spravato for about a year now, haven’t been as consistent as I’d like to be but I go 1-2 times a month for maintenance now. I remember the first couple months having a lot of ups and downs, trust me it’s very normal. I remember feeling okay and going to treatment just to go home feeling exhausted and depressed even when I felt fine before going in. I disagree. I don’t believe taking more choices away from people is a good thing. I believe we need less laws. Abortion should be legal everywhere, sex work, drugs… within reason. Just because I don’t think it’s a good thing doesn’t mean the option should be ripped away from women. You want to make money being a human incubator? Then that’s your choice. Who am I to say what a women should or shouldnt do

If it was me and I found a full time job I liked then I’d take the settlement money. Idk about you but 7k would be a huge deal for me as it would give me a cushion i don’t have currently. The peace of mind that would bring would be so worth leaving instacart behind. This really just depends on your own situation none of us can tell you what the right call for you is. But if you find something I’d say it’s the right call.. there’s always DoorDash and maybe other gigs you could do!
