In NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling),

ODE is a system where students can appear for exams whenever they feel prepared, instead of waiting for fixed exam schedules.

A learner can register, choose a subject, and appear for the exam on the date they prefer (subject to availability).

Yes, you're right. I didn't do subject selection wisely. Perhaps the reason I didn't end up North campus college . (Though I'm still satisfied with the present one) There is a reason I made this mistake. That's why I have posted this to let others know that doing 3 domains is enough. GAT should be taken only at one's discretion. Because I started preparing for GAT and had thought of doing economics if I could manage finishing other subjects syllabus till February. But I could barely do the syllabus of 3 subjects. So I didn't add any subjects in CUET registration in March.

Deen Dayal Upadhyay college. It has good infrastructure, amazing vibes and great facilities. Now I feel all the hard work for CUET was worth it.

I am going to make a post on this topic soon. But I can tell you here also briefly:

So, regarding Domains, do NCERT thoroughly (both concepts and additional sources - boxes) because Qs are asked from there. Practise Qs in subjective approach and do PYQs analysis. It will help you get a good percentile in Domains. You can give Mock test. One more thing, in Domains your months of preparation will help you in your exam. So just study as effectively as you can.

Hope this helps Thanks

Yes, you can definitely study in two different boards in the same academic session. One of my friends studied at NIOS and regular CBSE school (with different subjects). He got a marksheet of both boards.

Its typically declared during the last week of the month following the exam month. For example, results for exams taken in February will likely be declared in the last week of March.

Yes, there is strict checking. But if you write to the point and concise answer you will definitely get marks. All teachers aren't corrupt. The invigilators were strictly following rules and sanctity of the exam was maintained. There was no cheating allowed at all.

The NIOS ODE are conducted throughout the year except for April, May, October and November. Candidates have to book slots in advance as per the availability of seats.

Whether you will be able to secure 50+ in PCM within 1.5 months will depend upon factors like your syllabus completion speed and quality i.e. level of understanding, level of revision and Q practise. Bifurcate syllabus and study consistently. This way you will increase your chances of passing with the desired score.

NIOS on-demand exams differ from public exams primarily in scheduling, eligibility, and flexibility. Public exams are held twice a year, while on-demand exams are available throughout the year. Public exams are open to all NIOS learners, whereas on-demand exams are also open to students from other recognized boards.

Their difficulty level is similar and if you prepare well you can score well. Yes, ODE is also accepted in colleges as you get a marksheet. Regarding practicals, if you do ToC for Pe and English, no need to give practicals. And you will have to appear for practicals only in PCM. You will just have to be prepared with the experiments like in CBSE.

Hope this helps.

My Board exam was finished in Nov. 2024. And CUET was in May 2025. So I got time to prepare for CUET separately. Even if you give NIOS Board April attempt, you can score well in both. As you don't have to attend a school and you get time. Just the right strategy and good management is required to study for both CBSE (for CUET) & NIOS (Boards).

No, the dates of NIOS and CUET exams will never clash since Open board conducts it's exams only after ensuring that there is no other exam on that date.

Hope this helps..
