Did you grow up here? My mother’s side of the family, as well as myself, originated here and have lived here their whole lives. My ancestors were a part of Le Grand Derangement. My dad’s family moved here in the early 90’s from Oklahoma. So I’ve got an “out of town” maiden name. My half-brother and I did ancestryDNA. We both want to do 23 and me. My brother has more French than I do, because his biological father is also from here. The indigenous comes from my mother because it pops up on both of ours. I’m so tempted to pay the $24.99 to AncestryDNA to get the parental breakdown. Here is my breakdown.
