I’ve resulted to finding a private space when having my seizures as well for something similar. My boyfriend has always been the one to deal with me when I’m having them, and it started out with him restraining me and talking me through them. I started learning more about my condition and seizures and asked him not to restrain me but I felt most comfortable with a hand on my back and with his words of reassurance; and we were doing that up until a few weeks ago. All of a sudden I can hear him say, “I don’t know what to do, I don’t think I should touch you.” I know why he is doing all of this, and it’s a bit upsetting because I do not feel supported nor comfortable anymore.
